  • I'm 38 and have an Associates Degree and would like to go back to school for a degree in geology?

I have always had more than a passing interest in Earth Science and feel it's time to realize that interest into a career. I'm wondering if my age will limit me in any way in becoming a field geologist for the USGS? Can I get work as a geologist if I finish up with the additional 2-3 years to get a bachelors in Geology (while working towards a Masters?)

    Thanks!

  • Fee I should charge for IT Project?

I've done a lot of IT work in several corporations, such as help desk, desktop support, network liaison, field tech, trainer. I've also done a lot small private work, stuff like a few basic websites, small type network setups (wireless & wired), etc. I've never installed or setup a server/domain type environment myself, although i've supported it by aiding network technicians. Now I've been given a project to setup all of the IT needs for a new dental office. We need to buy & install a server to host Open Dental and an MYSQL database. I need advice on how to get up to speed on learning how to do this.

I also need to install 15 computers, a few printers, tone and patch all of the rooms, buy a switch. It's going to be an ongoing thing. I'm not sure how much to charge for such a project. Any ideas what fair compensation would be? I normally charge $50-75 an hour, but he wants one fixed amount for the quote. I know I'll have a learning curve with Windows Server 2008 (if we go that route) and OpenDetal. Thank you in advance!

  • Buddist Monk Who Lives on the Mountain Top?

I'm looking for the title of a book I read years ago. It's about a monk that lives a the top of a mountain. People wait in line to see him during certain months out of the year... the line is so long that they sometimes need to wait weeks or months in line to get to the monk's door. Often, when the monk opens the door, the person who is waiting says "hi, i'm here to see the monk". The monk (who answered the door) then leads the person through the monestary and out the back door. When they ask what's going on (right before he shuts them out) he says "you've seen me"... there's more to the book, but that's a basic description. Can someone please tell me the title of this book? Thanks.

  • Brandon Jacobs Auburn Jersey?

Is this jersey really worth the price:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Rare-NY-Giants-Brandon-Jacobs-...

I'm thinking it's a little overpriced, but maybe not. Is it really of that much historical value? What would be a good offer?

  • Why does CNN have different articles on UFOs everyday?

I've been noticing that everyday for the last couple of weeks, CNN always has something on their main page regarding UFOs. Is something going on that is causing CNN to want to affect the subconscious mind of it's general readership? Or are they preparing the World for something bigger than Obama?
