After watching Man vs. Wild last night, seeing Bear Grylls run a knife across the throat of a living goat, then gutting a dead camel for liquids and shelter, I got to wondering how the average person feels about such things on a public program? I live in the extreme north, hunt and fish as well as help a ranching buddy of mine, so taking the life of a useful tool, heck, even a family pet is a thing of necessity. How do you folks that are surrounded with pavement and glass and meat in your local store feel about those of us that take the life of creatures for our survival? Please be frank, or as honest as possible as I'd like to have varying views on the topic. Thanks in advance!

I'm not a cat guy myself, but my Sister just got a new cat. She brought up the topic of "declawing" and everyone within earshot became irate. Can you share with me your personal stance (or experience) on this topic. All answers appreciated.
