Does the Carnival Pride have a pool slide? Should we opt for the Norwegian Gem instead?
We are torn betwen these two ships....the Gem has a basketball court, Rock wall and slide & my kids (7 & 9) will really love those things. The Pride doesn't have basketball court or rock wall....I am not sure about a slide.
Is one a clear choice over the other. The itineraries are the same and the price is about the same. We have sailed Carnival before & had no problems, but we wondered if we should get the ship with more on-board options. Also, we like the idea of the eat-anytime dining with Norwegian but one review I read said it was a "free-for-all" and nobody could get seated or served because all the people showed up at once. Besides a couple of formal nights might be nice to do as a family (Carnival).
As you can see - I'm totally split down the middle. Help please!
5 AnswersCruise Travel1 decade agoI Need Pen Pals for my two Kids (ages 6 & 8)...where to look?
I spent an hour so far looking on the net, but everything is geared towards singles or charges a fee. I need a safe website that offers kids this age to find a penpal (preferable an english speaking child from another country).
I will supervise each letter, so I feel comfortable having them do it, but it seems impossible to find a penpal in the first place! Any help??
6 AnswersParenting1 decade agoMy son had his tonsils out and is not doing well... poor speech, drooling, in pain, overtired...is this norm?
He is 6 and had no problems during the surgery (expect they had trouble intubating at first due to size of tonsils). He came home and was okay at first. He seems more tired and pretty ornery than I expected. He is eating some foods and drinking okay. But I thought he'd be off the heavy meds (tylenol with codeine by now) day 7. When I try to wean him off of it, he cries with pain. My son has never been a "crier"!
Today I noticed bleeding in his throat so his doc wanted him to come in. While there, he caterized his throat - not with heat, but with some kind of "stuff" to stop the bleed. All in all, he just does not seem "okay" to me. I thought he'd bounce back fast and so far this has really taken a toll on him. To make matters worse, he starts school next Monday and at this point...he can't talk well enough for anyone to understand him... WHEN will this get better?? Please help with some good advice. Thanks.
