Looking for good high protein meat recommendations for hemoglobin issue.?
My buddy's mom broke both her legs in a fall and after surgery has had issues with blood clots and has been in and out of the hospital. She called me yesterday (I live next door) and said she has a hemoglobin issue and for the next few weeks her doctor wants her eating a lot of high protein meats. Her son doesn't really cook so she asked me if I could help her out with selecting and cooking for her. I'm looking for some good recommendations on what I should be looking for meat wise. I would think lean steaks but any help would be appreciated.
3 AnswersOther - Food & Drink4 years agoCan I go HDMI to RCA to Coxial to get into an old TV?
I'm staying in an extended stay hotel for about a month for work. I went to hook up my PS4 and apparently the flat screen is the oldest one ever made and has no HDMI. It looked like it has an RCA so I tried to get an HDMI to RCA conversion conversion extension but the TV doesn't seem to even have an Input option to select RCA (only coaxial and a VGA port are options for Input in the menu). Which leaves me with a coaxial cable input. If I get an RF Modulator to the TV to the HDMI/RCA Converter to the PS4 any chance it will actually work?
8 AnswersTVs4 years agoDo businesses have to close during a "mandatory" evacuation?
Brevard county has set 3pm as the start of the mandatory evacuation of the barrier island. The storm is still a day out though. Do businesses have to legally close at 3pm today? I have some friends who live off Island who are scheduled to work tonight on the island. Any links would be helpful.
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics5 years agoWho can I contact, what legal remedies do I have against a landlord in Florida refusing to fix an air conditioning unit that is not working?
We have been having a lot of conflicts with the neighbors in the building. Last week somebody cut our air conditioning lines. Spoke to the landlord and he thinks we did it ourselves, and says he is going to evict us and will not fix it while we are in the unit. No legal paperwork has been filed for eviction (he doesn't have cause the rent gets paid every month), and it is going to be 106 today with the heat index which is unsafe for us to be inside so we have been forced to pay for hotels the whole holiday weekend. Is there a Florida agency I can call for help?
17 AnswersRenting & Real Estate5 years agoMicrosoft got sneaky and converted me from Windows 7 to Windows 10 without permission when I rolled it back it broke?
Microsoft got sneaky and converted me from Windows 7 to Windows 10 without permission (they schedule it and then pop a warning that says if you don't want this to happen cancel it). When I saw it was converted I used their "tool" to revert it back, and it busted my machine. When it starts up, I get the starting Windows screen, then a blank screen with a mouse cursor. I can't log in, can't do anything. I almost think it thinks I have two monitors, because it acts like a second screen when there are two. ctrl-alt-dlt does nothing, safe mode does nothing. Has anybody seen this have any suggestions?
1 AnswerSoftware5 years agoHow long should I cook a 65 lbs pig in a covered pit no spit?
We have built a pit out of cinder blocks, we've got a nice layer of coals going about 3 inches deep of oak, but we are using a grill not a spit and all the instructions on time I find are for spits. I assume I put it bottom down, bast it, I have a piece of sheet medal to cover the top I just don't know for how long roughly so I don't know when to put it on.
1 AnswerCooking & Recipes5 years agoIf I change a domain name but keep it pointing at the same server, will I need to modify my SSL certificate to get HTTPS to work?
My company is branching out and the want to change our domain name to the product name and point the company name name as the domain name for a general landing page for all our products. If I point a different domain name to the IP of the server will I have to update the SSL Cert at all (i.e. is it tied to the domain name)
2 AnswersOther - Computers6 years agoWhat kind of punishment is my brother looking at for a VoP on a DUI in Florida?
My brother is on probation for a DUI he received last year. On New Years Eve, he went down to the local bar with his girlfriend. A gay guy who has a crush on him was there, was mad he has a girlfriend, and called the cops and told them he was down there in violation of probation. They came down, took his information, and the the PO and a sheriff showed up at his house today and arrested him for violation of probation (he's not allowed to be in bars for his probation). What kind of trouble is he looking at being in for the VoP?
(Yes, I agree, he is an idiot for the DUI and for being in the bar)
4 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoWhat is the actual process surrounding eviction in Florida?
My girlfriend is going through the process of eviction right now. Her lease was up on the 13th of November, but there is an item in the lease that says both parties have to give 60 days notice to end the lease. She didn't give notice, so they told her she had to pay them two more months worth of rent. She is out of work at the moment and simply doesn't have the money. So they tagged her door just over a week ago with the 5 days to pay your rent notice or they were evicting her. Her father died this month during this whole process, so while she has been emptying the apartment, she still has stuff in there she is trying to get out. She was moving a load this morning, and a maintenance man stopped her, said they had been in the apartment on Friday without her permission or notifying her they were going to be in it, saw that she still had stuff there, and that she had to be out today. Unless it was an emergency, I thought they legally couldn't go into the residence without 24 hours notice, and I think that the eviction would have to go before a judge, and then there is still usually 48 hours before the sheriff basically evicts her. I've looked this stuff up in the past but I am not very clear on it.
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics7 years agoThey have all those travel sites, are any of them actually any good at getting decent rates?
I had been using hotels.com, but I found out quite by accident with most hotels it was cheaper to book through the hotel itself. Any of them actually decent for booking through or should you just use them to find the hotels?
2 AnswersOther - Business & Finance8 years agoIs there any way to turn of the stupid conversation functionality in the new Yahoo mail?
I despise that about GMail, and it seems Yahoo is doing the same thing. If I get 6 responses to an e-mail, I want to see six e-mails, not this conversation nonsense. Is there a way to go back to a classic view of the e-mails that doesn't use conversations?
1 AnswerSending and Receiving Messages8 years agoHow bad does your financial situation have to be to be denied security clearance?
I have an offer for a job at a company that would come with a serious raise involved. However they have a requirement that you would have to get a security clearance. I was out of work for about 7 month in 2012 and a month and a half in 2013 and have a lot of dings on my credit including a car repo. I don't have any real credit card debt. I have some student loan debt. But like I said I have lot's of dings on my credit., and some old bills I still need to pay off (a few hundred bucks here and there to a few places e.g. an old cable account). It's a good job and I'd love to take it, but having been out of work I'd hate to quit a job I have just to find lose a new job because I can't get clearance.
3 AnswersGovernment8 years agoCan somebody explain to me the legalities of eviction/owing landlord back rent?
I have been in and out of work, I honestly owe my landlord back rent. We have been trying to work on things, but another unexpected financial set back has set me back again and I have just come to the conclusion I need to downsize my living situation until I am back on my feet. The last verbal agreement we had I couldn't keep on money, it simply hasn't come through yet, so I asked him to give me three weeks to get my things in order and I would be out of his home, and I would sign an agreement with him agreeing to what is owed and make sure he was paid every back dollar. We have a month to month lease, so I'm not breaking any lease terms. While he is understandably upset, but now he is screaming about sending police and attorneys to the house to get me out. That seems a bit ridiculous, as I will be out in less then three weeks now anyways. I think he is basically threatening me with things he can't do to try and bully me into giving him some money right now, money I just don't have to give. He is going to be out of town starting from the first of august for a few weeks, so the time any eviction hearing came up he could go to I will already have vacated the premises. I am not trying to screw him at all, but obviously want to protect myself too. How will a judge look at this (I have text records of me asking for the three weeks and be willing to sign an agreement for a payment plan. Also once I am out, what is the legal process for money owed between tenant and landlord?
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics8 years agoHow long before a repossession shows up on your credit report?
I was out of work for 7 months and got very far behind on my car payment. I found work for six months, but then the contract ended and I was out of work for another month. I have again found employment, but being way behind and having a 6 week gap between checks my finance company seized my car. I am trying to downgrade my living situation. I live in a home that is way too big and costly and my attempts to rectify it with roommates to offset the price have ended up costing more than helping. I was in the process of trying to find a small apartment when this happened. The repo was Saturday. If I go and speak to somebody about an apartment this week will the repo already show up on my credit or does it take a period of time?
1 AnswerCredit8 years agoDo I need anything to use a 100,000 mile drive train warranty?
I've had fairly regular oil changes, but after I got back from a trip this year my engine developed a knock that has steadily gotten worse to after it runs for a while it sounds like a rod is gonna come through the engine. Have been contemplating buying a new motor, when my father asked why I didn't bring it down under the drive train warranty. Anybody done this before? I don't think I've ever keep receipts for oil changes or anything. I have a buddy who works at a shop you usually just does it for me in his spare time.
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs8 years agoCause for eye styes occurring more often?
I think I've had one stye in my life before this year, and now I am on my 3rd for this year. I'm trying to figure out what may be causing it. They've all been severe styes, large, swollen, painful, and last for months. Any thoughts on what may be causing me to suddenly get them, and ideas on how to get rid of them quicker?

Bank of America charged me $6 to cash a check issued from one of their accounts. Is that actually legal, or something a local branch was trying to pull off?
