What are the controlled variables in the Stroop Effect?

I need a speech introduction about a person, an intro leading into a story about their life and hobbies and about them.

Me and my boyfriend have been dating for almost 6 months now.

We both love and care about each other dearly.

But his mother keeps trying to cut us off and tell lies about me.

I have been nothing but nice to his mother.

We have talked a few times, the normal conversation 'Hi , how are you' etc.

As the weeks progressed she kept trying to cut him off from me, taking away the phone / not letting us meet up or hang out together / taking away his computer etc.

They also said I'm just manipulating him, and using him which I am certainly not.

She punishes him for doing the smallest things and always insults him.

He does nothing wrong. He doesn't smoke / drink / go party all night / he's grades are fantastic / he's nice and polite / he doesn't fight back with his parents / he helps around the house and etc.

His mother often tells him that I don't care about him and don't love him.

He ran away recently and stayed with me for a day or so.

His mother said she would stop and let us talk regularly and not cut us off.

When he got back home she yelled at him & called him a horrible son.

When she started cutting him off again, he told her that she promised she wouldn't cut us off.

Then she twisted around her words and said 'NO, I never ever said that, I said I wouldn't cut you off completely. You should be thanking me'

I really don't know what to do anymore, This has been going on for months so.
