What do you call the phrase at the end of a sentence?
Is there a name for the colloquial word or phrase (like "you know?" or "eh?" in Canada) that people use at the end of a sentence?
2 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoHow many of you who identify as Republican are in favor of "small government"?
If so, do you know what Libertarianism REALLY is?
I find it very interesting that so many Republicans talk about a need for "small government," but so few of them really know what that means, or what it implies. Do Republicans realize that G.W. Bush was one of the strongest advocates of "big government" that our country has ever known? Or are Republicans just throwing the term around because they disagree with Obama's plan for taxpayer-funded health care?
5 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoHow can you tell if a cat has a fever without taking its temperature?
Our cats are completely fine, I've just always been curious about this. They're always warm, as cats are, but is it with cats like it is with people: does a warm head mean an elevated temperature? If not the head, can any other part of the body be an indicator? Like the paws, being hairless?
Thanks!
