  • Need help naming cow?

I'm working with a cow for school (Im a pre vet major). She's black and white, mostly black with a white slash across her face. We need to name them, please help! I'd like a humanish name or at least something dignified or name-like, nothing stupid like Mooey or Milky or anything like that. Thanks!

  • How do you get a rollover on an Image Map?

Anybody know? I know next to nothing about Java but I'm sure I could follow a simple code. What I want is for when you rollover the individual links on the image the image changes to another image while still being an imap. Not sure if that's the best description, hopefully somebody gets me though!

  • What's a good indoor plant that will grow up a lattice?

I'm a notorious plant killer, but I've managed to keep this snake plant alive on my desk. It gets a decent amount of light, probably moderate. I've seen people with (I think) philodendrons that grow up their walls and I'd love to do that on the side of the wall by my desk, would this be possible, and with what kind of plant? I'd put some kind of lattice of course for it to grow on if needed.

  • How do I find the best computer for college?!

I really have no clue about computers. It's so hard to find an up-to-date site that compares laptops, and the people at the stores are always biased towards PCs since they don't sell Macs anywhere but the Apple Store.

Basically, I'm heavily leaning towards a Macbook. I generally want something $1000 or less. I won't be going into graphic design or anything, but I'd really prefer not to deal with Vista. Are Macs the best or should I go with or consider other computers? What are comparisons of prices and things like memory, speed, graphics, etc?

  • Still need Rat names.?

I still need rat names for my new rats. They are both brown and white females.

I like to use human names that fit well with animals, my previous rats were Winona and Harper so something along those lines would be great. Please nothing stupid and cutesy! Thanks everyone!

  • Can I return something from Petsmart to a different Petsmart?

I bought a cage from one Petsmart, and I found out that it's cracked damaged. It was pretty expensive so I want to try and exchange it for a good one, but the store I got it from is far away, so can I return it to petsmart that's closer by?

  • I need Rat names?

I'm getting two female dumbo rats pretty soon. One is brown with a white stripe on her face, I think she will be Markie but am still open to other ideas. She looks similar to this - http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e2...

The other will probably be white and brown, white and grey or albino. I usually use human names for my pets, please DON'T suggest something stupid and cutesy like Fluffy, Snowball, Gumdrop, Squeakers etc. Thanks!

  • Ways to start getting into graffiti?

I've been interested in art for a while, and just recently I've gotten really into graffiti. I want to try to learn more about it and get better, but I have no clue how! I live in the suburbs in NJ, it's close to NYC but the "culture" here is completely different from what NYC is, and I feel really isolated. There are barely even toy tags around town. Any help?

  • Does a circling mouse always mean wry neck/a head tilt?

My female mouse is circling, she's very young, under half a year. She always circles in the same direction, and I can't really see a head tilt but I'm guessing it must be a slight one (she doesn't hold still much). She also has been biting her rear a lot, either that or her cagemates have but I suspect it's her since it's a place where she can easily reach. Either way she's removed from her cagemates but is still circling constantly and seems really nervous. Any ideas?

  • Fancy Rat question.?

I really want a fancy rat, but if they smell as bad as my mice did I don't think my family will be okay with it. I've had two female mice in the past in a 10 gallon tank, I bleached the entire tank once a week and replaced the carefresh and they still smelled terrible! If rats would be the same, I don't think it will work out.

And another thing. Are Dumbos okay to mix with Hooded rats? The Dumbos look a little smaller so I was wondering if it would work out. Both are females of about the same age. Thanks!

  • Can you help me think of the best team in pokemon blue for competitive battles?

We're all restarting our games, training for a week, and then meeting for a battle. So that leaves everything pretty up in the air, except I'll probably want a Charizard in there somewhere. Any suggestions?

  • Does anyone know when Petsmart Employee discount double days are?

I'm a petsmart employee, and there are two adult Leopard Geckos I've been really wanting to buy. They aren't ever going to be sold (they've been there for over a year now) since they are adults and aren't so cute anymore. Even though they are in the back room because of this, they won't give them to me for a cheaper price. Other places sell them cheaper but I've gotten attatched to the little pair.

They are $70 each though, which is ridiculous for 2 geckos that they are never going to sell normally. So I'm waiting until Double Days so I can get them for about $100 for both (what a bargain...not). I've heard that they're on June 1st, but does anyone know for sure? Thanks!

  • Low-maintenence plants for NJ?

I'm doing a project for our local library which involves planting a garden. I want it to look really nice of course, but I'm going off to college next year which would leave no one to water it. The directors say that if there isn't anyone to care for it properly then I can't continue with the project. Are there any nice plants that grow well in New Jersey without needing too much care or watering?

  • Does this sound okay for a Leo?

I recently started working at Petsmart, they have this great adult leopard gecko there who's really friendly and probably won't be bought because he's outgrown the 'cute' stage. I have lots of snake experience but have never really had a lizard, I figure if I can take care of a Rainbow Boa then I should be fine with a Leo though. I was thinking of setting him up in a 10 gallon with a heat lamp and the works, my only problem is food. I go to petsmart about twice a week and I know that Leo's should eat every day or every other day. I don't want to worry about keeping live crickets in my house though for the days when I don't go buy them. Would it be plausible to feed him meal worms most of the week? They're easier for me since they stay dormant in the fridge. Do they have equal nutritional value to crickets for Leos if I dust them? And also, do you think a leopard gecko would eat f/t pinkies, since I won't do live rodents but I have some laying around.

  • Can you help us think of a middle name for Monroe?

We're naming our baby boy Monroe! Our last name is Kerouac (if that helps) now we just need the perfect middle name! We want something that is somewhat unique (not crazy but also not Alexander or Matthew) and flows really well with the first name. Thanks so much!

  • Does anyone know how to pop a snake?

I've watched lots of videos online about it and think I would be okay doing it with my juvenile Rainbow boa. My only problem is though, what can happen if I don't do it correctly? Can I injure my snake? My previous vet said that intestines could come out so she wouldn't attempt it, I think that she was just very inexperienced with seeing snakes. But I would much rather have a healthy snake than one that is injured but sexed. Any help here?

  • How can I get my mice to smell less?

I recently just got two female mice. They are sterile lab mice from petco and are definitely females. They are in a Crittertrail cage and use a bedding called Boxo which is almost identical to Carefresh. I clean them usually every 5 days or so and in between they reak! Although I like them a lot, I didn't get them as pets (they are to scent the frozen mice I use for my snake (no, they will never be food for the snake so do not be concerned)) so I can't give them back and trade them for something less smelly like a hamster or gerbil. Does anyone have a way to reduce the smell?

  • How should I prepare for summer?

I'm 18 years old, 5'4" and between 120 & 125 lbs at any given time of day. I know that that's a good weight for me for my BMI, and everyone always is shocked when I say I want to lose some weight. The thing is though, I know that my lifestyle right now is not healthy: I sit around, don't eat right and don't do any sports, recreational activities, etc. I'm also not too happy with the way I look in a 2-piece bathing suit, my legs and stomach are a little bigger than I'd like them to be, not to mention have no tone whatsoever.

So my incentive for getting into shape is wanting to look nice at the pool this summer. For food, I'll try to eat smaller portions but I don't think that's the problem as much as my non-activity is. Any suggestions as to how I should start? I have a bike, treadmill and lots of room to walk or run outside in my neighborhood. But I'm not sure how to begin or which to do and how much of it. I'd also plan on continuing this regiment past the summer.
