How can Obama threaten to remove human rights in his own country (rights to privacy etc.), attack the rights of others in another (middle east) and fight for human rights in yet another place (Cuba and vietnam)?

Libertarian philosophy argues for individual rights separate to that of the state. Regardless of the consequences, and being a democratic society, if the majority voted to allow something (whatever it may be) can the Government refuse it? if so, then on what grounds can the government refuse it?

Many judge gods acts in the bible as heinous and immoral. E.g; stoning, destroying cities, great flood etc. But if we created Robots as god created man, would we be immoral if we treated robots like that? Many judge the acts of a creator, but have never created life themselves, how then can they judge?
