  • Best boot option for me?

I'm looking for a field boot for myself, not willing to pay too much.

    I am a size 9.5, and have a 15 1/4 calf.

I'm thinking about the Ovation Flex Sport Field Boot.

Would I be better off getting the wide or the x-wide calf? And are they good boots in the first place?

I had Mountain Horse boots in the winter, and I liked those a lot, but I need boots for summer now and Mountain Horse summer boots are too expensive for me.

So would I do better in a wide or x-wide calf?

    Are the Ovations good boots?

    Any other recommendations?

  • What are the best sport boots for my mare?

So I need to buy some sport boots for my mare to protect her legs on the trail.

I'm looking for some and have found some I like, but I just don't know if I'll like them or if they will fit her. I want them to cover her fetlock joint all around, and be sturdy.

She's a 15/ 15.1hh seven year old hunter-type AQH mare, and she isn't real stocky. Her legs are thin-boned and they are kind of long for her height.

I don't have much to spend on boots for her and just wondered what boots you guys thought were good boots or whatever.

    http://www.horse.com/item/tough-1-vented-sport-boo...

Kind of like these. Would these work and/or hold up for the wear and tear of the trail and fairly simple ring work (wtc, circles, dressage patterns)?

    Thanks.

  • How difficult for me to learn bass?

I would like to learn to play bass. I have played piano for three years then quit because of my busy schedule, but I still remember it all. Things have slowed down a bit, and I want to try something new.

How difficult would it be for me to learn bass?

Also, where can I buy a bass, and how much does it cost? What are good brands versus bad ones? Do I need any special equipment? Will my old electric guitar amp work for it?

If you could give me some other useful info that'd be great. :) thanks in advance.

  • Is it hard to learn bass?

I've wanted to learn a new instrument for a while, and decided today that it would be cool to play bass.

So is bass a hard instrument to learn? And how long would it take to learn the basics?

Lastly, how much does it cost?

  • Questions about earrings?

I got my first piercing done December 10, I think. I just have a few questions.

First of all, I know you have to leave them in for 4-6 weeks. But someone said that it depends because people heal differently. So how, by look/touch/feel/whatever do I know that I can take them out?

My studs are white gold, at least I am pretty sure. Does that mean I am not allergic to regular gold? And how do I know if I am allergic to a certain kind of metal?

Also, when I got them pierced, I had to get a long post because apparently I had a thick earlobe. Does this affect anything? Oh, and can I still wear regular earrings, after I take these out?

When I turn them, I sometimes feel a little pinch, then it goes away. Very quick, just when I first start turning them. Both ears, not always, just sometimes. They don't hurt when I am not touching them, pull very gently up and down on them, touch them, etc. Almost never hurts, except for sometimes, but it barely hurts if it even does.

I had been cleaning them with the solution gave me, but the bottle leaked and most of it leaked out. I now am cleaning them with this stuff called Re-Nu. It is a contact-cleaning solution, but it has the same stuff in it as the solution they gave me. I clean them 2-3 times a day. I work with horses, so I guess I get dirtier than most people.

  • Horse blanket Deniers?

Ok, I am purchasing a turnout blanket, for the late fall/winter with my horse. The temperatures here in the winter are anywhere between 45degrees, and -15degrees. My problem is, I have never bought a blanket before, and I am wondering how many deniers I should get, and what brands make a quality blanket.

Please do not say equine.com, I already have that one, there are barely any horses on that one. Also, if, you tell me a website, can you give me a basic review?
