Hi, i have a weird problem going on with my laptop(hp pavillion dm-4 with original win7). I've bought a portable hard drive few days back and filled with files(music, movies mostly). It was working fine, but one day when i connected it to one of my friends laptop(windowns 7 on that too), none of the folders were being shown. It was working fine before. When i connected it to my laptop and selected(tools>view>show protected OS files), then the folders and the files in them were being shown!! Somehow they got changed it protected OS files!

Yesterday i installed a program named "Free Hide Folder" and hid a folder on my laptop hard disk(not on the portable one, thats the one with the weird problem). So, that folder was not being shown after i hid it, and in addition, so was no other "protected OS files" were. So, my win7 doesnt show any protected OS files now, though they are there(i checked with ubuntu).

#How can i make windows 7 to show the protected files again(i uninstaleed "free hide folder, doesnt work")

#Is there any way that i can change those files into "not protected OS files"?

As a student of computer science, obvious enough, my primary objective was programming; but, 2 days back i discovered a weird problem while working on MS Visual C, a took a input as float(say- 23.2) and printed it the next line and the outut was 23.20003 !!!

I tried this on dev c, in tubo c, bt the same thing kept happening...the calculator, came with windows doesn't work too! (2.0001 * 2.0003 = 4.008003) :'(

It's not a virus,for sure(foramtted the whole HD)

Same thing happened to my PC years back...i really need exact result for mathematical programs--what am i supposed to do?? :\

When i try playing MW 2 or fifa 11 with full resolution it runs too slow(i mean, some frames on the video are missing). I've tried clearing up the RAM....doesn't work. Please, help.

I've installed JAVA Runtime Environment already. But whenever i try to open a jar file(By double clicking or run with/installation folder/bin/java.exe), It always shows error messages like- 'Failed to load main class attribute from ......... .jar' ; 'Invalid or corrupt jar file'..etc. What should i do?
