I was listening to Talk of the Nation on NPR today, and heard several callers give a comment, and end it by saying, "and I'll take my comments off the air." What does that mean?

I think it's an 80s song at least. It's sort of a new wave song, that sounds like it could have been done by OMD. I call it the 'space invaders' song. It's uptempo, is spoken-word for most of the lyrics, and has some robotic voice over in it. It doesn't really have a chorus, but instead of a chorus, it sounds like laser guns are fighting each other. Unfotunately, I can't remember any of the lyrics. But they play it sometimes on 80s night at this club, here in Portland.

These 2 kids go through a magic closet or mirror, can't remember. They encounter this evil queen/witch who has eternal life because of these magic cherries (?) she keeps in a bell jar. The kids have to crawl through/over a sea of broken glass? Does this sound familiar? I think it also involved some cabbage patch like dolls. It's an 80s kids film. Anyway, the whole point is they think their grandma is getting too old so they are gonna steal the magic cherries and feed them to her. (... man... do kids watch bizarre stuff or what? lol)
