  • Is this identity theft or is Google Adwords stealing?

My girlfriend had some funny charges appear on her bank statement, one was $100 yesterday and today she had one that was $263. It looked like it was a charge for using google adwords or something involving it, which she has never used. Is this probably a sign that someone has stolen her identity? Or is it a Google issue? Has anyone experienced anything like this?

  • Who are/is your favorite jazz drummer?

What about even percussionists....got I need to know about that nobody has heard of? I like Max Roach...always have. So furious, and loud, not to mention the stuff he did with Clifford Brown is some of my favorite music out there.

  • Drummers: do you hate snare buzz??

me too...what can I do to get rid of some, if not all of the buzz...Is it the tuning? Is it the snare itself, or the wires? You can't really hear it at full volume, but it still is annoying. My bass player has certain notes figured out that make my snare go crazy!

  • Are there any good books for a new lawyer??

My sister just started as a lawyer this year and I was wondering if there is any book that would be good for her to read as a new lawyer. It doesn't necessarily have to be just about law...Its just a stocking stuffer idea...

  • Any musicians have ear plug recommendations?

I'm a drummer, and I play loud rock and roll music. You know that ring you get all evening and sometimes the next day after a full on rehearsal? I don't like it and I don't want to go deaf by the time I am 40 so I need to start wearing earplugs. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a good pair to look in to that won't sacrifice my ability to hear and feel the music while protecting my ears?

  • What do you do if you don't know the marital status of someone?

I was writing an email asking for an override for a class, trying to use proper etiquette, but I do not know the marital status of the woman I was emailing. Do I use Ms. or Mrs. if I am unsure? I don't want to call her by her first name and get all informal.

  • Is it illegal to drive with your foglights on?

My friend drives a 93 integra and the lights are kind of funny looking...anyways he has always driven with his headlights and fog lights on. He got pulled over for having his high beams on (which he didn't) and told the officer that it was his fog lights, not his brights. The cop told him that it was illegal, and then gave him a ticket for failure to dim headlights into oncoming traffic. First of all is it really illegal to drive with fog lights on (since I see hundreds of cars every day with fog lights on) and is this cop trying to skrew my friend, and catch him in not knowing his rights...which I don't want to let happen. Should he plead guilty and pay it, or fight it?

  • So let's pretend that evolution is fact...?

for millions of years we have been evolving naturally, and in the past 200 years we have started curing diseases and performing successful operations thanks to the knowledge we have gained from science. But couldn't all of this be throwing a wrench into the works? We are fighting against natural selection with modern medecine...is this going to slowly halt our evolution? Is modern medecine going to stop us from evolving into the gods we are meant to be?

  • Does anyone else hate Bluetooths????

I don't like it when people walk around with them stuck to their heads like its some fashion statement. I hate talking to people that have them on. You never know if they are talking to you or not and they always seem really preoccupied with their phone instead of with someone who is right in front of them. Give me a break, is your wireless communication that important that you cant just use a phone, you have to have some cyborg attachment on your head??? Do people want to become more like cyborgs?
