  • A child drowned in my above ground pool. How liable am I?

I was not at home, but my daughter had a 18yr old friend over with a 2yr. old. The mom was with her child in my home, but at some point he went out back door and got into pool by use of the ladder. ( which was left in by my daughter and the childs mom when they were swimming minutes earlier). Just wondering how liable I am since the childs mom was with him and he was under her supervision?

  • Advice Please! Being sued for hospital bills and have no income! What should I do?

I received a summons which includes bills from my husband and childs acct. also. (they just combined it). Some of the amounts are what I thought insurance paid and just now discovered they did not. Some of it is from when i had no insurance. I have no income, and my husband lost his job and only gets unemployment. It looks like they're getting a judgement no matter what I do (from reading on here and other sites). So can they stick their hand in our bank acct? (which has nothing)... or his unemployment checks?? I've already called the suing attorney and they will not work with me. Its full payment...or go to court and let em stick the judgement on me...??

    any other options out there?

  • What can I do about my runaway?

I am the legal guardian of my nephew whom has been in heaps of trouble and is now a runaway for the past 3 weeks. I know he's been staying with his NON-custodial mother in another state... because he can do his dope and quit school with her (which is why she doesn't have custody, or visitation rights). The local police won't do anything to help since he went to another state. Can't I file some criminal charges against her or something?? He's 16yrs old. And she denies him being there and refuses to bring him back.

  • How can I find out if I can use old college credits?

I completed a couple semesters at a community college in the 90's, before dropping out. I'm interested in online classes or local night classes now but I don't know how to find out if I can use my old college credits since it's been so long. I've already been to my colleges website and got nothing.

  • Mascara that doesn't run--for a 13yr. old?

My daughter started out wearing the same mascara I do, but hers runs and gives her the "coon eyes", trashy look. It doesn't do that on me.. ?? I've tried a few different kinds for her (all waterproof) and they still look this way on her by the end of the day. Why is this?? I don't have many shopping choices around here (walmart, walgreens), but I would spend 10-15bucks on a tube if I could find some that didn't smear on her. Maybe she just has runny eyes??? any advice?
