It is in the permanent exhibition of the National Gallery of Scotland. It is a simple outdoor scene with drab colouring & the remarkable thing about it is that the stars are just about to come out. Depending on where you view the painting the brightness of the stars alters.
I cannot remember the name of the painter - please help. Thank you.
