  • Adult son refuses to move out?

My son is 19 and I can't get him to move out. He will not help out with any household chores and will not pay rent to live at home. He has distroyed a bedroom door. He has been using illegal drugs. I have told him how much I want for rent or he could choose to move out. I gave him 6 weeks to get out. The 6 weeks were up Oct. 1. Changing the locks didn't work he still gets in to the house.

  • Probation officer is telling parents what to do?

Probation officer is telling my ex and I where our son will go for drug/alcohol treatment and where he will go for counseling. I have no problem with the treatment but he wants us to send our son to the worse places for treatment. He has been treating us parents like we are juveniles. When I state my concerns he ignores my questions. Probation officer states that my son has to go to AA meetings. I don't want him to go because it puts him in a situation of meeting new people who don't always go to meetings for help, but puts my son at risk of re-offending. My son isn't not a drug addict nor an alcoholic, but I firmly believe that he needs to be held accountable for his actions.

  • How do Health Savings Accounts work?

I have a $5000 deductible on my health insurance plan. I am 39 years old and am in good health. I go to the doctor less than once a year. Would this type of account benefit me if I should need to receive health care? How much can I put in? Where can I start such a plan? If I put money in does it have to be used by a certain time like the flex spending accounts?

  • Car is hard to start at times?

I have a 2002 Sable. When I try and start the car everything goes dead but only if the car is at operating temp. I had the battery tested and that was good, the charging system is good, and even did a load test with A/C and headlights on. Today it is starting good.

  • My 11 yr. old son is being accused of stealing a bike?

but he doesn't even have the bike. It is a Wal-mart bike that had been spray painted black. A kid in our neighbor hood gave him the bike and I didn't think anything of it since the bike wasn't in that good of shape. Now the officer wants to press charges on him. He no longer has the bike because it disappeared from the front on our house. The officer has no serial number nor is the owner able to identify the bike. Its all circumstantial evidence. What should I do? My son didn't know that the bike was stolen.

  • Why did I recieve a letter stating that the loan was denied?

I checked into a debt consolidating loan. I was told that I was approved but I didn't approve of the terms. Three of the loans are going to be paid in full in 2009. The terms of the loan would give me 7 years to pay off these loans. Since financially I am doing ok and always pay a little extra on these loans, this loan I felt wouldn't be helping me. I didn't sign the loan contract but I got a letter in the mail saying that my loan was denied.

  • Why should the government help mortage lenders?

The banks loaned out money to those who they knew couldn't afford the payments. These interest only loans left borrowers with payments they couldn't afford. The borrowers agreed to the terms of the loan and didn't read the fine print. The borrowers didn't ask the questions like what will the payment be after 5 yrs. The tax payers shouldn't have to bail these people out.

  • My daughter has been spreading lies about me

should I confront her just let it be? She is 16 and wanted a cell phone. I wouldn't get it for her because she refuses to help out around the house. She takes off and won't tell me where she is going. An adult co-worker of hers got one for her because my daughter told her that I had bad credit, which is so untrue. Now my cousin that workes with my daughter thinks that the rumor is true. My cousin has a big mouth and will tell the rest of the family. The family reunion is coming up in a few weeks and I planned on attending but now I am too embarrssed to go.
