  • Doctor claiming part of my medical record doesn't exist to hide negligence.?

I requested my medical records from my doctor after his refusal to premed me before a procedure resulted in the adverse event (syncope/seizure) that I warned him about and a preventable trip to the ER. He sent me a record that was missing page 1-4 of my intake form (the paper where you write your family history, drug allergies, etc.). The paperwork did, however, contain a clearly labeled page five of the intake form so there is some proof that pages 1-4 are missing. I am certain I also wrote on one of the first four pages of that form that I was going to have an adverse event unless measures were taken to prevent it.

I sent back another request for pages 1-4 and he replied that he sent me my entire record. Since he made no mention in his medical records of my warnings of an adverse event, those missing pages are the only written proof of my warning, except possibly my ER record where I also woke up saying "I told him this EXACT thing was going to happen and begged him for meds to prevent it."

I think he is covering for his negligence and trying to prevent a lawsuit by destroying portions of my record which make his negligence obvious. What is my legal recourse to getting the "non-existent" pages? Should I turn this over to HIPPA?

  • I need to know how to turn the lights on in the china cabinet I just inherited: American Signature West Indies?

No one knows. It is an American Signature West Indies Collection large china cabinet. It plugs into the wall and there are 3 lights in the top. I tried touching all of the metal hinges since my mom has a china cabinet that turns on that way. I went to the web site for the store and they said, basically, to contact who I bought it from. There isn't even a store for this in the state in which I live. I'm hoping someone here can help!

    Thanks

  • if someone died on October 4, 1907 and they were 58 years old, 9 months and 8 days old, what was their birthda?

Lame question, I know, but I haven't done math like this in about 20 years.

Their gravestone basically says (in German) Died at age 58 years, 9 months, and 8 days. On October 4, 1907.

Thanks for your help, this kind of thing makes my brain hurt.

  • Suggestions, present for wedding in India?

Wedding gift for a wedding in India?

    Hi all,

I am going with a friend to India soon. While there, we are going to be attending the wedding of one of her very wealthy cousins. I would like to bring something nice and thoughtful but I've never been to India and have no idea what would be appropriate.

I have never met the bride or the groom, I'm just going because my friend (not a romantic friendship or anything) invited me to go with her to India and it sounded really fun.

    Thanks for your help.

  • How often do people bring their pet to the vet?

I am curious because everyone on this site is always asking questions that CLEARLY need to go to the vet but its like that never even occurred to the person asking the question. Are most of the people out there rotten owners or what? I don't get it, I take my pet in whenever he is a little bit sick and twice yearly for exams. Consequently, he looks great and is pretty healthy. I think this is a good use of my money, to prevent illness and suffering! Am I the exception? Do you people take your children to the doctor when they are sick? Maybe I am weird to actually care about my pet.
