Has anyone read this book?
I recently picked up a copy of the book "20 Things Adopted Kids Wish Their Adoptive Parents Knew" and I am only about half way through reading it, but I am finding it very interesting. I am wondering from adult adoptees if you find the statements in this book to be true in your life? Also, from adoptive parents have you read this book and found it helped you to understand your kids better? Thanks!
6 AnswersAdoption1 decade agoA question for mothers...?
I am genuinely interested in how the moms here on Y!A would feel about this. There is no doubt that a mother experiences grief and loss after relinquishing a child regardless of the circumstances that brought her to the decision. How would you feel about someone who has done it twice? Wouldn't you think that the first experience should cause her to do everything in her power to prevent herself from ever making that decision again?
Also, do you think it would be "easier" the second time because she knew what to expect? Is it even possible for it to become easier?

I am an adoptive mom and happened to stumble upon this today:

Would you ever dress your child in something like this? I certainly would not.
