  • Question about a line in Thor?

I feel like I'm literally the only person that did not understand the meaning/significance of the line Loki says before letting go of Thor and flying into space. "I could have done it, Father. For you. For all of us." What's he talking about? I've only just now thought to ask and it's been killing me. Thanks in advance!

  • Would you consider this unprofessional?

A friend and I are going to be auditioning for an important talent competition by singing a duet. We are unable to find a version of the song we are singing (Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag from Chicago) without vocals, and the next best thing we could find has the vocals quiet and very softened. Here's a link so you can see exactly what I mean: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CJa8JuN9X0

Now, for the actual question: Would it be unprofessional to just sing over this, even if the vocals are semi-noticeable? We would try our best to drown out the vocals with our singing voices, but some of it might be heard anyway. Is that bad? Do you think the judges wouldn't mind, or do you think they would be annoyed? Thanks in advance!

  • Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag instrumental/karaoke from Chicago?

I cannot find the song Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag without vocals (the movie version) anywhere. I've found all of the other songs from the soundtrack, but this one seems to be missing. I need it for a performance, but I am having absolutely no luck. Help, please? Thanks in advance!

  • Harry Potter related URL's for tumblr?

I can't seem to brain storm for a URL/username for tumblr. I just changed my name to AndDeathSpokeToThem from the Tale of the Three Brothers, but I'm not sure if it's perfect. I like to play off quotes and I'm a huge Ron and Hermione shipper if that helps. Thanks in advance!

  • Can you bring back/exchange tickets on Fandango?

I bought tickets for a movie on fandango accidently in 3D. 3D gives me a headache, so I'd either like to exchange them for 2D or take them back and buy the 2D tickets. Is this possible?

  • Hogwarts sweater alternatives?

Does anyone know where I can get a Hogwarts-esque dark charcoal v-neck sweater? I don't want to pay $60 for an actual replica, so a cheaper alternative would be lovely! I'd prefer the ones that button up, though it doesn't have to!

  • Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Question?

I don't own the book and this is REALLY killing me. I can't remember anything about the Percy and Ron owl interaction. Percy apparently sent Ron an owl about the twins and their shenanigans? An explanation/elaboration would be WONDERFUL! Thanks in advance!

  • Oratory Speech Topic Help?

I'm completely at a loss for what I would like to do for my oratory for speech class. I had originally chosen psychopathology but there isn't much to go from there. I've been looking into internet interaction (or online friends), but I'm not sure about that one, either.

Is there any subject or issue that you would like to hear in an oratory? I would appreciate this SO much!

  • In your opinion, do you think the soundtrack on Doctor Who Season 5 is played too loud?

I've noticed that the music played during the recent Doctor Who episodes have been drowning out the dialogue. I can't seem to make out what the characters are saying most of the time and find myself rewinding to try again. Even when I turn the volume up REALLY loudly I can't seem to hear what they are saying. Is this just me?

  • What is the context behind chapters 35 and 36 of Fang by James Patterson?

I am a huge fan of the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson. I also have a huge passion for writing. The author of these books is having a writing contest; to enter you must write a chapter that would be in between chapter 35 and 36 of his new book "Fang". The problem is, I cannot access this book. Can someone please explain to me some characteristics about the character Dylan and a summary of the scene in chapter 35? Thanks in advance!

  • What does this phrase mean?

I am talking to a friend of mine and I do not like to appear stupid although I don't understand certain phrases. He asked me, "What type of join would you like?" I don't understand this statement at all and don't want to reply with some idiotic reply. What does it mean? Thanks.

  • Mac Book help please?

I was on the iPhoto application, and wanted to drag the open window off the screen so I could see something. Instead of holding onto it, I let go. When I logged back on I could not see it come up. It still won't come up when I click it. I'm almost positive it is hiding where I cannot click it to bring it back up. Does anyone know how I can use it again? Thanks in advance :)

  • Is keeping wild bunnies illegal in Texas?

I am probably not going to, but I might want to help this poor little abandoned wild baby bunny. (haha that was a TON of adjectives!) Anyway, I found it all alone on the sidewalk and wanted to help it, but I know it is illegal to keep a wild bunny in certain states. Does anyone know if it is in Texas? (And yes, I know how to care for it)
