I can answer any question, some of them correctly. I do not know what I do not know, so I do not know if that is a little or a lot that I do not know. I do know what I know, and I know that, to me, that is quite a bit. You know, at least I feel better knowing that you don't know what I know or don't know.

  • This is the Religion and Spirituality section, why would any atheist be on here at any time?

This R&S section seems to be mysteriously full of them! If I were an atheist, I would have absolutely no interest in coming on here.

Misunderstandings and misconceptions, not to mention intentional propaganda to discredit religions or religious beliefs, just make matters worse.

I feel that many atheists take things out of context, and then teach that to others as "facts." Their students then barge into religious discussions thinking that they are wise, when in reality they just look like impetuous fools to everyone. They tell everyone off, and then leave, thinking that they just enlightened everyone, or at least disrupted their discussions (and believe that this is somehow wise because the religious "deserve" it).

I have little interest in some things, and I don't think you will see me going to that section and disrupting it. In theory, should not atheists have little interest in anything religious or spiritual?

  • Do you believe the Holy Bible as true? read details or move on.?

The older I get, the more I see and learn, the more convinced I become that all people everywhere believe the Bible. Even those who do not even have a Bible believe its primary principles without realizing it. It appears to me that even the worst hypocrite, the vilest atheist, even those people believe the Holy Bible.

The difference seems to be whether or not they believe IN the Holy Bible.

One does not see someone going down the street, robbing, killing, and raping everyone they see, destroying everything they do not like, and one would expect this if my analysis was wrong.

So what I am really asking is, do you agree with this analysis, and if not, why?

  • Why is it that the people who demand that no one judge, seem to be the only judgers around?

I am not refering to the terrible people who go around doing all sorts of crimes and evil, and then they demand that no one judge them.

I am refering to the people who claim that they are Christians, or religious, or spiritual. I am specifically refering to the ones who brand people.

Also, I am refering to judging people, not actions (not crimes or sins).

  • Jehovah Witness, what is the meaning of "disfellowship"? Please read the details.?

    Is "Disfellowship":

    a) the time when a JW left Christianity and became a JW?

    b) the time when a JW left being a JW and went back to Christianity?

    c) the time when a JW voluntarily left being a JW?

    d) the time when a JW got kicked out from the JWs, sort of like excommunication?

    d) depends on the context

    e) some other meaning (please briefly explain)

"Disfellowship" is a new word to me, I think I heard it for the first time when a JW religion defender told me that they were disfellowshipped back in the 1980s. So I presumed that it meant "a) the time when a JW left Christianity and became a JW" and whenever I heard the word again (which was surprising), that definition seemed to fit. However, in my mind, can't help but think it means getting kicked out or leaving for some reason, so I thought I would ask. Definitions of "a" and "b" seem to fit what I know of the JWs. Definition "d" is what I keep on thinking it might mean.

  • If I were to go forward in time an hour and someone asked where I was during that time, where was I?

Assume that I am in a time capsule and do not go anywhere in space.

  • Any one have good ideas on how to keep an army of bunny rabbits out of the garden?

For some reason my mother plants a large garden every year, and every year it is decimated by a large group of cute little bunny rabbits. Sometimes I think all she is doing is feeding the rabbits. I can't help her out because of my health, and she probably cannot errect fences. I do not like the idea of poisoning them (for one thing the neighbor has a bunch of purebred dogs and they are bound to eat one of the rabbits).

Traps seem silly, it would take all year to capture half of them if you caught one each night, and it would be too expensive to set up so many traps.

So I was thinking, what about a natural approach? Is there something natural we can spray that rabbits hate? A scarecrow approach of some kind? Or maybe a sound device? One of the problems with anything electrical is that the garden is at least 200 feet from the nearest outlet.

Keep in mind that she is not a very mobile woman. Also keep in mind that we are talking about a great many bunnies.

  • If there was a Big Bang, where is the Big Crater?

I do not want explanations as to why it would not be a crater, as it is not really a bang either, my point is simple. Something blowing up that violently is going to leave a big crater in some form and it should be extremely noticeable.

  • Does anyone have a good idea about how to go off of disability?

If someone is disabled and desires to go through rehabilitation, get a job, and try to make it on their own, they will face a great many problems. One problem is the transition itself, they may not be able to actually pull it off. The greatest problem is the government, they are bound to interfere, take more money than they can earn initially, kick them off of disability, and take years to get them back on if they fail to make it on their own. This can be compounded if their health condition relapses. Other issues may include being able to work, but having to call in sick, or going home early frequently.

In other words, has any one heard of strategies that allows a person to give it a try without the government ruining everything?

  • For Jehovah Witnesses, are there any books of the Bible that your religion believes?

I cannot help but notice the Jehovah Witnesses (at least the ones here) blatantly looking at the verses in the Bible and finding strange and implausible reasons for not believing the Bible. So that got me to wondering which books that they believe? Does it have to do something with the author? Which authors do they believe or not believe? (Just give me the shortest list please, because I suspect that the "don't believe" list must be huge!)

  • Does anyone know a good way of keeping Godzilla out of my garden this year?

I have tried everything, including placing a Very Large Array of those electric beam dishes around the perimeter, but with no satisfactory results. I thought about assembling a team of professional, high quality effects and script writers together, in theory this should keep him away. Any ideas?

(This question is just for fun of course)

  • What is the number one thing that I can do as an individual to stop solar system warming?

The planets are beginning to fry all over the solar system, all the way to Pluto. I just know that it is man who is the cause of it all. What can I do to refreeze Pluto? Also, it is my understanding that here, in the midwest, there was ice one mile thick, but today the last of the snow is melting! What should I do?!

  • Are the Seventh-Day Adventists a cult? Similarly, are they involved in certain ways with the occult?

Please do not bash the SDA, just tell the truth. I am asking this question because a neighbor friend of mine recently became involved in the SDA and thinks she is now a Christian. However, when she found out about my Christian beliefs, they offended her greatly and has consistently presented me with strange, unchristian beliefs that I did not know that the SDA had. I do not know if this is what they all believe, or if this is a branch from them, like the Branch Davidians or something. Frankly I am afraid to find out much about them because they appear to share some beliefs that I have seen in some occultic religions, and because I want to stay far away from any cults.

I am aware of the difference between the definitions of a cult and the occult. I am also very much aware of what mainstream Christianity believes and what the Word of God says. I just need to know about the SDA, thanks.

  • Could dark matter be photons that "ran out of steam?"?

Even though it is said that photons have zero mass at rest, if there were a bunch of them resting about some place, surely they would have some kind of effect.

  • Are black holes really there, or, has forever passed?

I have been told that it takes forever for something to cross the event horizon of a black hole. If that is true, how does anything ever get in there? And does this mean that forever has already passed in order for the black holes to be there in the first place?

  • Can dinosaur tails be used to create anti-gravity devices?

I have been watching the new documentaries on dinosaurs for the last few years where the dinosaurs, no matter how large or long their tails are, have floating, gravity-defying tails. So I have been wondering, can the study of their tails lead us to produce anti-gravity devices of our own? Perhaps fossil tails hold the best clues.
