My name is Brittany. I live in Florida. I'm engaged to Alex. He's an amazing guy. =) We've been together for 4 wonderful years. He's my best friend. My better half. I go to school for Graphic Design, and I'll be graduating on Sept. 4th, '09. I'm very into Body Mod. It's a HUGE part of my life. I'm pierced, stretched, and tattooed. I also have plans of suspending and have other more extreme mods done like, my tongue split.

  • Question about annual vaccines?

My male Chihuahua had his annual vaccines today (Rabies, DHPPL, Bordatella, Lyme) and an overall exam.

My question is, do any of those vaccines cause red-tinged urine? My dog's urine has become a pinkish color since we got back from the vet. They didn't mention that this could happen, and they're now closed so I can't call.

  • One of my rats is suddenly dying?

One of my rats, Anna very suddenly tonight has gotten VERY sick. She was absolutely fine earlier today, but then a few hours ago started acted as if she couldn't walk right, but she was eating and drinking and seemed fine otherwise. Well, now a couple hours later, she's laying in their cage and seems as if she can't move the top half of her body & keeps kicking her feet. If she makes it through the night, we'll be taking her to the vet tomorrow morning (I wish I could have taken her tonight, but this started too late), but I don't think she will make it. =(

What could this be?? It came on SO suddenly. Also, my other rat (who is housed with Anna) seems totally fine & is acting her normal self. Should I be worried that she may get sick too?

My rats are very well taken care of- spacious cage, lab blocks, fruits, veggies, water, etc. I just don't understand.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Professional Cameras - Orange County Convention Center?

I would like to know if the Orange County Convention Center allows professional cameras at their events?

I've looked on their website, and the event sponsor's website, but haven't found this information.

  • Copy of certified copy of birth certificate- DMV question?

I need to have my license changed soon from VA to FL, and the DMV site says I must have a certified copy of my birth certificate as a form of ID, but will a copy of that certified copy of my birth certificate be valid? That's all I have at the moment.

If I can't use my birth certificate, would a college ID (without birth date/age), my VA license, and social security card be okay?

  • Buying a car for the first time- What to expect?

I'll be buying a car for the first time from an actual dealership soon, and was wondering what I should expect?

I'm worried about negotiating any prices because I just don't really feel comfortable doing so, as well as wondering what I should expect financially (when it comes to actually purchasing the car there, I mean). I'll be paying in full, if that changes anything in that aspect.

What exactly do I need to bring with me, if anything (other than what to pay with, of course ha)?

  • Am I at a higher or lower risk for hernias?

I've had extensive abdominal surgery (was in a very bad car accident and had a good amount of internal injuries), so I have a pretty good amount of internal (and external) scarring.

My trauma surgeon went over what I would be at risk for because of the scar tissue, but I can't remember if he said anything about hernias- it's been a few years since all this happened.

Due to all of the scar tissue, would I be more, or less likely to develop a hernia?

My stomach is quite sensitive in some areas and I do get a pulling/tugging sensation when I lay in certain positions, but I would think that could just be due to the scarring, but I also know that can be signs of a hernia. I also have no problems when it comes to eating/digestion.

  • Tongue Split: Piercer or Surgeon

I've wanted my tongue split for about 7 years now, and would like a few opinions...

While I really want the experience of having it preformed by a piercer/modification artist without any numbing, I'm also a bleeder (bleed for a good 20 mins just from having it pierced), and I don't particularly want to have the experience of having my tongue cauterized while fully awake. ha

I've started considering the possibility that having it split by a surgeon would be better for me (for reasons above), but I'm not sure. I've also heard that having it split with a laser can help with a more rounded result at the tips of the split- which I really want.

Does anyone have experience/opinions on having your tongue split by a piercer or surgeon? Or know any links that discuss the pros & cons of each?

  • Easy, cheap & quick recipes for college student?

I'm a full-time college student with a crazy schedule. I live with my fiance and we just spend way too much on groceries, yet end up with barely any food that lasts us more than a few days.

I'd like some recipes that are healthy, quick, easy, but also cheap to buy the food for. Also, we'd like a variety of foods- not just Ramen cooked 500 different ways. ha

  • Price range for cable internet?

We have Brighthouse cable right now, and would like to add the cable internet to our package. It's about $35-ish dollars a month- is that a good price, or can I get a better price from another company?

  • Where to draw the line between bad behavior and justified behavior?

For the past almost 5 months, we've been working on re-socializing/re-training our Chihuahua. He's been doing VERY well, but he just will not be friendly to dogs bigger than him. Not just full-size breeds, but any dog significantly bigger than him- he's only 7 pounds so he gets along well with toy dogs just as small as him, but none any larger. He's just terrified of them and always growls at them.

While I always correct him when he does this, he still continues to do this. I could definitely understand why a 7lb dog would be scared of bigger dogs, I probably would be too, but is it normal behavior? What should I do to correct it?

This always happens at the dog park (I always have to hold him the entire time while our other dog plays), but he hasn't had very many good experiences there. There's always at least 1 dog who likes to mount him and jump on his back & such. He gets irritated by them and snaps, and I get started at like my dogs the problem.

  • Common airport symbols?

I have a project for one of my classes to re-design an airport logo (done that), and then design some airport symbols to go along with it.

Symbols meaning things like baggage, restrooms, and the like.

Now, I've never even been in an airport parking lot (terrified of flying), let alone inside of one so I have no idea what kind of symbols are in an airport (aside from baggage and restrooms ha).

Could someone list some of the common airport symbols for me, please?

  • CD stuck in MacBook Pro drive?

There's a cd stuck in my cd drive on my Mac. It's been stuck since last night.

I've tried ejecting it every way- nothing happens. The drive doesn't even make any noise.

It also freezes up my iTunes whenever I try to open the cd up in there.

My Mac keeps freezing when it shuts down/restarts and takes a lot longer to turn on since the cd got stuck in there.

How do I get this out?

  • Why do dogs run around the house like maniacs after a bath?

    Or at least mine do.

They run circles, run to one end of the apartment to other, and rub themselves on everything (that one I can understand- trying to dry off).

But what does the running do for them?

  • Dexter Episodes?

On my Showtime on Demand, they have Dexter episodes which I've been catching up on.

It gets to 20, then go straight to 22. 21 is pretty much the best episode of season 2. And I haven't seen it yet. =(

Is there anywhere else I can watch that episode? Aside from waiting around until it comes back on Showtime.

  • Welding training in the Orlando area?

My fiance finished his first year of welding at a trade school, but couldn't finish the last year because we had plans to move.

We've been searching for some trade schools in our area that offer welding but haven't been able to find any.

Know of any in/near Orlando that offer welding?

  • Brighthouse Cable for Central Florida?

I wish to remove a service off of our package. I only see the way to add services online, so I'm assuming there's no way to remove them using my online account?

If so, what number should I call to do this? On my monthly statement, the only number I see is the one to pay your bill/discuss any problems with you bill.

  • Swollen labret?

I got a center labret piercing on the 2nd, and it swelled quite a bit. The labret stud seemed to be long enough (I could see excess of it), but the flatback has been making an indentation in my lip (small, but definitely irritating). The swelling seems to be going to down, but that indentation is getting any better (but it's not getting worse).

Should I wait it out for a few more days, or go ahead and have it changed to a ring?

  • Red hairdye brand?

I was looking at a magazine awhile ago, and I saw an ad for new shades of red hair dye by a pro hair products brand, and I can't remember for the life of me what it was.

The only thing that comes to mind is Redken, but I'm not sure.

The ad was showing these new really bright, vibrant colors of red. The girls in the ad also had very big, curly red hair.

I'd like to get my hair dyed on my vacation next week with this brand of dye, but I need help figuring out the name.
