Six weeks ago, I bought a used motorcycle via eBay, from North Carolina (I live in California). When I went to register the vehicle, I was told by DMV that it does not comply with CA emissions regulations and cannot be registered in this state. So now what do I do? Is the seller obligated to take it back? The title and registration is still in his name, but the financing for it is now in my name.

I'm thinking of making a career change and am looking into being a police/911 dispatcher. They are in high demand where I live, I like being able to do shift work, and I've always been able to remain calm and level-headed in an emergency (yes, I've been faced with quite a few). I've put in a request to do a "sit-along" with local police department but haven't heard from them yet. Is there anyone out there who can tell me more about getting into this line of work? What do I need to know?

I have not owned or ridden a bicycle in YEARS and just recently moved to an area with some nice riding paths. What's a good, reasonably priced bicycle to look at? By "reasonable" I mean somewhere around $150. This would be for riding on city streets and paths, not mountain biking.

My cat used to have her own cat door with a huge backyard where she could go in and out at her leisure. I have recently moved into a condo complex that does not allow free-roaming pets, so I'm trying to ease her into being an indoor-only cat, but she's home alone for 12 hours a day! Anyone have any tips for helping her keep from being bored and restless? I give her catnip toys and plenty of sunny windows to gaze out of, but I still feel like a "bad kitty mama."

By "healthier" I mean overall, taking all factors into account - cholesterol, calories, fat, preservatives, sodium, etc.

I know that Rob Thomas released a solo album - does anyone know if Matchbox Twenty as a band still exists? Or did they split up for good?

I'm so confused - I'm a big fan of Last Comic Standing. I saw Season 1, and I saw Season 2. Now, this last season is referred to as Season 4. What happened to Season 3? I tried to look it up on IMDB but the comics on Season 3 are the same as Season 2, yet the winner is different? What the hell?

My husband and I are going on a road trip in August, driving from California to Tennessee via Utah, Wyoming, Kansas, Missouri, then back thru Texas and Colorado. Whew! I'm wondering if any of you locals might hook me up with the best places to eat in any of these areas?
