  • Should we all report them for violating Yahoo Answer's community guidelines?

This is what it says in the community guidelines section of Yahoo Answers, " Questions and answers that express hate and intolerance have no place on Yahoo! Answers and should be reported" It's my duty as a responsible yahoo citizen to report.

  • What can happen if I have a bad bearing on my right front tire?

I noticed at about 32,000 miles that my right front tire sounded "loose" my dealership replaced the bearing and it was fine for about 50,000 more miles. Now it is making the same noise and I can't get it in the shop before I make a long-distance trip. My tires aren't wearing unevenly or anything, I just don't want it to cause more damage if I drive it for another two weeks before I get it fixed.

  • Besides in person, what is the next best way to let someone know about my interest in her?

I thought what i was experiencing was a "crush" but I think it is more than that. The days I don't see her really suck. When she is in her office across the hall from me I can't concentrate. I think she may be interested too because she seems nervous around me sometimes. I cannot bring myself to drop a hint or say something no matter what I do. I don't want to hear "I'm flattered" etc. I am much better at writing than I am at speaking for the most part. Do you think I could hand-write her a letter and she would respect me for that?

  • Why would she be nervous around me?

I have worked with this woman for about a year and a half. I don't think there is any reason she should be intimidated by me, she is technically my boss. She has tripped on her way into my office a few times, pronounced my name completely wrong when she introduced me to someone. When I told her to have a good vacation, she said "you too" even though I wasn't going on vacation and then said, "I meant, have a good week" and we both chuckled. Practically threw (dropped) a pen under a conference table, it landed way over near my foot. Came into my office and asked me if I got the email she sent me moments earlier, and then realized she didn't "click send" I haven't noticed her being like this with any of my other co-workers, and I have wondered for other reasons, if she is interested in me, but I am quite oblivious most of the time.

  • Was this funny or mean?

  • Is this a good tattoo idea?

I am considering getting a tattoo in remembrance of my brother and sister. They had the same intials (JLB) so I was thinking that would be in the center, not sure which font style to use though, and their dates of birth/death above and below the initials. I do not want to incorporate any religious symbols, but what would be the best design for this? Also, where should I get it? This is for me, I don't plan on showing it off, so I don't want it on my neck, arms or legs. I was thinking about getting it on my upper back inbetween my shoulder blades. Any suggestions are appreciated.

  • What do you think, Is she a lesbian or maybe at least open-minded?

I know this woman who is in her late 30's and has never been married. Most of her male friends are gay- I know that is a stereotype, but I was a "fag magnet" then a "fag hag" and currently a lesbian myself. What do you think? Is it likely that she hasn't discovered she is a lesbian?she has talked about a former boyfriend, but has nothing nice to say about him. Do you think the probability is higher that she is gay, or isn't? One more detail...she is planning on having a kid eventhough she's not seeing anyone.

  • somewhat scientific poll: Is your ring finger longer than your index finger?

There is research to suggest that men/women who were exposed to more testosterone while in utero, have ring fingers which are longer than their index fingers. This length ratio is also highly coorelated with athleticism. So basically what i wanna know is, is your ring finger longer or shorter than your index finger, and what your orientation is. The only research that has been done is on athleticism, nothing has been officially done regarding sexual preferences, but I think it would make an interesting study.

  • How do I get over her?

I found myself falling for my boss, not a good thing, considering our work relationship and the fact that she dates guys, or should I say dated. I am not sure of her openness to having a relationship with a female, so that is con #2. Knowing that i am interested in her, I think I may have sabotaged anything from coming of it. I am so paranoid she will catch on that i am interested, I probably seem uninterested. Maybe if i can get over her I will be more like my "normal" self, and if something is meant to happen it will. She won't be my boss for much longer, so I also keep telling myself to hold off until that day. But for the time being, I would like to think about something else. Any suggestions?

  • Opportunity to come-out to a woman I am interested in, should I do it?

I apologize if this is a question requiring lengthy background information. But I think it is necessary. So anyways, I started working for this woman in September. Prior to that there had been a time during which she stood right up against my back and was reading over my shoulder. I dismissed this as her being a "touchy-feely" individual at that time. She also offered to buy me a drink a few days later, but someone we were with ended up buying both of our drinks. I have tried to discern if she is touchy with everyone, and haven't seen any evidence to that effect. So, the next thing that happened was after I started working for her, I had stopped by my office on a Friday and when she came in to say good morning, I handed her a disc with software it, she said thank you, and I went back to what I was doing on my computer. She stood slightly behind and beside me, without saying anything for what seemed like a minute or two. I finally turned to her, without saying anything, and she goes "I've had a really rough week." I had no idea how to respond, well in a professional way. I wanted to ask her out for a drink but felt that would be inappropriate considering our working relationship. So, I am still confused as to what if anything, this all means, and also, I am not sure she even knows my orientation. If she is like me, she would assume I am straight because I was married to a guy and we have been going through a divorce for over a year. I dated women before him, so I have always had tendencies. She was dating a guy, and let me know awhile back that they were no longer seeing each other. So my new predicament is that I am applying for something she is writing a letter for, and I have to send her my application tomorrow electronically. There is a section on it for demographic information which is optional, but it actually includes a question about sexual orientation, and I am wondering should I leave the whole section blank, because I don't want to make her uncomfortable if I let her know about my orientation, and she was never interested in me to begin with. Or, do I just fill it out, and be honest like it is no big deal? I don’t think it would make her uncomfortable, but I am a little concerned because we are going to be sharing a long car ride together next week. She may not even notice what I put for answers there, and if I do indicate my orientation, at least I know it shouldn’t be in question anymore. I am so confused as to which way I should go with this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  • Is it impossible to have a crush on someone if I am not an adolescent?

When is it not a "crush"? The only other definition I could use to describe what I am feeling about this individual is that I am enamored by her.

  • Appropriateness of thank you letter for recommender(s)?

I have recently recieved a scholarship from the school I attend. I was required to submit two letters of recommendation, my question is this, is it expected of me to send thank you letters to the recommenders (as I will do for the scholarship) Also, for one of the recommenders I only have an email address and no mailing address because she is not teaching at my school anymore, should I just send her an email, or send her an email asking where to send her a thank you card too?

    thanks

  • What is the best way to get political experience? City Council?

Here is some background info: I have never considered my future to be in politics, and at the moment I am in pursuit of another goal altogether. I recently found out there is a candidate running for mayor in the town I live in who has absolutely no political experience, so the local democratic party would not endorse him. Well ,he is running as an independent now, although he claims to be a democrat but all of his "ideas" are grounded in religion. I consider myself a democrat, although, I do not base my political views on a document but on a moral code which includes equality, and the basic freedoms I have the privledge to due the constitution. I would seriously consider running for mayor in my town and work my hardest to do a great job, and I would not hand out jobs to my friends as favors such as the current mayor has done. Anyways, so, what is the best way to get my foot in the door and get some political experience under my belt? Any advice will be appreciated.

  • Is there anyway I can increase the gas mileage of my Chrysler Town and country?

Right now according to the computer I am getting about 18.7 miles per gallon. I have reset the trip mile when I fill up and that seems to be higher than what I am actually getting. With the cost of gas rising and my husband and I both comuting 70+ miles a day, I would trade in my van in a secound but I am "upside down" in the loan amout so I am going to try and stick it out until we can actually get something for trading it in. Is there anything that will help me to burn gas more efficiently? And what are the best ways?

  • Going out on a limb by asking this....?

Here are some of the details... I am seeking a friend of mine that attended the university of miami during the years of 1994-1996, she had transfered from the University of Michigan and was a piano perfomance major (and my first and only gf) if you know anyone who may fit this description, please share some guidance as to how I might contact her. I have used every free people search engine I can find, and the closest I have come to where she may currently be is somewhere in Arizona. Would greatly appreciate any help or advice!

  • What is the difference between a butch and a soft butch?

I was under the impression that someone who is "butch" is not just so in a physical sense, but also is an individual interested in giving pleasure versus predominantly being on the reciept side of sexual liasions. So what is different about a soft butch from a butch in stereotypical physical appearance and sexual behavior?

  • What time does FedEx start deliveries?

I am expecting a laptop tommorrow from Dell and my tracking information says it will be delivered by 1030am, but what is the earliest that Fedex completes deliveries? I have to run an errand in the morning and I don't want to miss it! I already checked the web site and could only find info about Saturday delivery.
