I'm wanting to get committed to staying sober. I've found an online AA chat space and have been reading the "Big Book." I've found people in this group to be rather pushy, and they say that I NEED AA and can't get sober without going through the steps. The thing is, I don't really identify with a lot of alcoholics. I haven't hit rock bottom. I have a good job, I pay my bills on time, I have a car, I have a home, my relationships haven't suffered, etc. The only thing I really identify with is that once I have a drink it is hard for me to stop. The thing I need to focus on is not allowing myself to have that first drink.

It would be nice to find a local support group LIKE AA, but something that is more catered to my own needs. Are there other sobriety support groups out there? I'm just looking for a place to start.

Over the winter I put on some gel clings on my sliding glass door. I forgot about them, until I noticed they had MELTED! Now, they capture all kinds of flies and other bugs. It's soooo gross. I'm hoping when the weather cools, they'll harden again and I'll be able to peel them off. If not, how can I clean the sticky gooey mess off my windows without creating a BIGGER problem?

I just purchased a netbook to carry around in my messenger bag. It won't replace my laptop, I'll just be using it on the go. What kind of performance can I expect from it? For example, can I still stream Netflix/Hulu from it?

Like, how do you upload it and post it on the board so that it animates?

I have a crush on a friend. We're both adults. She's been married for about 5 years, & loves her husband even though he annoys her. Her husband knows she likes women, & is fine with it as long as she's completely honest about what she's doing. The other night I was out with her & we both had a bit too much to drink and we ended up making out for a bit. I wanted to go further but she said she needed to talk to her husband first.

Now, this is only going by what she's told me, & I know it might not be truthful. She said that her husband feels threatened by me and will only let her sleep with me if he can participate. I'm REALLY struggling with this. I know the best thing would be to walk away and try to squash my feelings for her. On the other hand, as much as I hate to admit it, the idea somewhat excites me.

I just don't know what to think!

I'm seriously considering this piercing. Is it a turn on or turn off? Does it enhance or hinder oral sex? Thanks!

I hear these piercings are fairly easy healers, but I don't want to take any chances. I usually take 3 spin classes and 1 outdoor bike ride a week. How long should I be out of commission?

I have several tattoos on various parts of my body, but so far I have none going over my spine. That's going to change with my next one. I'm getting a cover up, & part of it will be over the spine on my lower back. For those that have had their spine tattooed, how much does it hurt compared with other areas?

I have trouble visualizing how certain tattoos would look. I have two ideas for a lower back piece. 1. Black tribal bull in the center, with knotted branches and leaves on either side. St the end of the branches, they thin out and have flower buds on them. 2. Same design only instead of the bull, there's a thick Taurus symbol, but instead of the half circle on top there are bull's horns. I'm leaning toward the Taurus symbol. What do you all think would look better?

Help with tattoo "filler" ideas

On my lower back, I have a tribal bull on the left side of my spine & a kanji symbol for "woman" on the right. I'm getting the bull partially removed, to be covered with a different design. Since both tattoos are relatively the same size, I want to try to keep some uniformity. I know the cover up will have to be a bit larger. I'm thinking of incorporating both pieces together, in a sideways oval shape across the small of my back. Now, I'm TERRIBLE at conceptionalizing pieces like this. All of my tattoos are stand-alone pieces with no need for filler or any other detailing. Can anyone help brainstorm w/ me about what to use as filler to tie the two tattoos together?

I have a Yahoo Mail account that became overrun w/ spam years ago. I get like 10-20 spam emails a day on it, going to my inbox instead of spam folder. I want to start using this account again, but don't want to deal w/ the spam. What's the best way of getting rid of this crap??

I'm filling out a money order for the first time. What goes in the "address" field? Is that the address of the payee? Does it include city, state, & zip? It's a pretty small field for all that. Just wanted to make sure before I mark on it. Thanks!

I live in Kansas City & we're in the middle of our pride weekend. Tomorrow I'm going out to the festival & then I'm having a group of people come over for a LGBT movie marathon. I have a few movies in my own personal library, but I can also do the Netflix "watch instantly" option & hook it up to my tv. Does anyone have some "must see" ideas for our marathon?

I am now looking at getting a tattoo lasered off, and then re-tattood in the same spot. I know about covers, but one wouldn't be feasible for this circumstance (my current tattoo is solid & black).

I've also used Wrecking Balm for a couple of weeks, & my skin is a little scaly because of the dermabrasion process. After I let that heal, I'm going to be doing some laser removal consultations.

With all the stress I'm putting my skin through, will it still be possible to get re-tattood in the same spot? Will the tattoo hurt more?

I'd really appreciate people who have had a tattoo removed by laser & gotten the area re-tattood. Anything else would just be speculation, & I can speculate as well as anyone.

I was very dumb when I was younger & I got the wrong zodiac sign tattooed on me. I know, I know. Spare me the lectures, please, & let me be an example to all you youngsters! PLEASE RESEARCH YOUR DESIGN BEFORE YOU GET IT INKED ON!!! Tattoo responsibly.

All rants aside, I'm now researching tattoo removal processes. I'm trying Wrecking Balm first. I know that many people have said it doesn't work, but I also question how religiously they used it, & for how long, before they decided it doesn't work. I'm almost positive this won't remove my tattoo entirely. The plan is to use the Wrecking Balm for several months, until I fade it enough to get it lasered the rest of the way in one or two treatments.

What do you experts think? I'm a very patient person, so I don't mind that the removal process may take upwards of a year. And, every time I use the Wrecking Balm on it it reminds me not to be foolish w/ my body modifications.

OK, I admit, I'm a dumb@$$. About 6 years ago I found a cool design for what I THOUGHT was a tribal bull that I got tattoo'd on my back. Now, years later, I find out that it's actually a CAPRICORN tattoo instead off a Taurus tattoo! I'm pretty humiliated, but glad that it's on my back where it's easy to be hidden! I'm wondering if there's anything that can be done to it to make it look more like a bull. I'd love to get an artist's opinion, but if anyone has any ideas they're more than welcome.

Please, I don't need anyone to scold me on not researching the design more before getting it permanently etched on my body. I fully realize my mistake. Now, I'm more concerned w/ making it right.

Say I buy a powerball for a Wednesday night drawing & that doesn't win. But I keep that powerball ticket & miraculously it's a winner a couple months later. Does that mean I'm a winner? Or, is the ticket void after the next drawing?

How do you make another main bullet point after you've been making sub-points on your previous main point? I know there's something I have to be missing here, it shouldn't be this hard.
