Uhh.. yeah...Um... well... I'm a mom pushing 40 who's kinda introverted. Um... I'm also a witch. You know, like a good witch. I don't do curses and such. Yeah... um... I've got a real job too... really.... I'm a 911 police/emergency dispatcher... go figure....
I've got over 10,000 emails in by inbox. How do I delete them?
2 AnswersAbuse and Spam5 years agoDo Christians believe that "atheist" means "homosexual"?
I have observed many Christians in this forum who believe that only homosexuals consider themselves atheist. Even more, they believe that all atheists must be homosexual.
What do you think?

1 AnswerReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoBelievers: are you just being hopeful, or is there something unbelievers just don't "get"?
According to reliable statistics, over 90% of Americans believe in some sort of deity.
Most of the people I know personally are believers. These people -- many are friends and family of mine -- are at least moderately intelligent and many are exceptionally intelligent.
I have asked these friends and family how they can be logical and rational but still believe in a "creator" that is by all accounts illogical and irrational.
Their overwhelming answer is always "There must be more."
Well, yes, of course there is "more," but do the gaps in our knowledge simply default back to "goddidit" or are you holding out on something?
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoChristians: suppose you just found out that your best friend is an atheist:?
What would you do?
Suppose this person is someone you have known for years. Someone who has gone out of his/her way to help you when you needed it; someone you have done the same for.
Would you give this friend the benefit of the doubt, or would you immediately abandon him/her?
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDoes this make Christians happy?
Uganda now has laws not only banning homosexuality, but in some cases has death penalties against consensual homosexual acts.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHaven't we gone forth and multiplied enough?
Shouldn't the followers of the Abrahamic god be more concerned about over-population and its consequences than gay marriage, abortion, and birth control?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs it true that the more "religious" a country is, the more likely it is to have the death penalty?
Never mind statistics, I'm asking for your opinion.
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs this the real reason why the great Library of Alexandria was destroyed?
The late Carl Sagan professed that there was a three volume history of the world in the library written by a Babylonian priest named Barusus.
From remnants of items that were salvaged and other sources from that era, the first book spoke of "creation."
The book spoke of the time between "creation" and "the great flood" as being 432,000 years. Far longer than the mere 6000 years most evangelicals preach.
My point is, these books alluded to are now gone and can never be retrieved. Considering the siege that destroyed the library (against Cleopatra and Antony) was controlled by a power on the brink of becoming "Christian," is it possible that zealot "Christian" Romans in power sought to destroy not only knowledge, but knowledge that would drastically conflict with their beliefs?
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoA question about "the Ark"
Why exactly is "the raven" the "wrong" bird to send?
I have to admit that the fact that a raven (the "wrong" bird) is black and a dove (the "right" bird) is white, is a problem for me.
I'm pretty sure that this is a problem for most people of color.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow many go for the rack?
I've got a BIG rack (lemme tell you, it ain't all that) but I've got a big middle too (had the rack first, by the way).
Do most of you go for the rack only when it tops, say, Pamela Anderson?
6 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoChristians: what in Jupiter's moons is the "gay lifestyle"?
I read this all the time in this forum. "We don't hate the gays, we hate THE LIFESTYLE."
What? Do gay people, I dunno, slaughter babies? Wear clashing plaids? Make illegal left turns?
Other than the sex of the characters they're attracted to, how is their "lifestyle" any different than yours?
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoFear=Respect?
A bunch of Christians answered the question "Why do you fear God?" with "God-fearing really means God-respecting."
So... it's okay to instill fear in people because it's actually a sign of respect? Somebody please explain this to me.
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDid I miss something?
I asked if there was prime acreage in heavan and got dismally few answers.
Mere minutes later I asked if a plot could be resrved in hell and, well, a few came out of the woodwork.
What exactly is the implication?

3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDoes anybody else here have difficulty taking people who ask questions with text shortcuts seriously?
I'm as lazy as the next character, but anybody who can't find the energy to spell out "you," "why," "be," or "two/to/too" is far too lazy.
Really, nothing tells the world one's lack of education more than how badly a person spells. Text shortcuts just scream "HEY WORLD! I'M DANG STUPID! h'yuck!"
I understand the need on cellphones, but this forum is not via cellphone.
10 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoHow does an ovary twist off it's own blood supply?
Ignore the icon, this is a serious question.
Apparently several months ago (maybe even a year ago) for no apparent reason my right ovary managed to get twisted in its cord and cut off the blood supply.
To make a very long an EXTREMELY painful story short, no one knew about it (even after several doctor visits and 3 CT scans) until the surgeon cut me open and found a dead and rotting ovary.
I'm okay now and recovering well, but I'm very concerned. Why would the ovary get twisted? I'm not an extremely active person, conversely I'm not a totally sedentary person either.
If it could happen to the right ovary without me (or anyone in the medical profession) knowing, what's to keep this from happening to the left one?
1 AnswerWomen's Health1 decade agoSo, what if only part of you dies?
I had this ovary commit suicide (yep, twisted off it's own blood supply). And then -- just in time for Halloween -- her ghost up and tries to kill me (toxins and internal bleeding and such)!
Fortunately I was able to get into surgery in time (wanna see my scars?).
Anyway, according to Christians, since she killed itself, will she go to hell? And if I had died too, would I have gone to hell with her?
