I have a question for any natural gas guys out there?
I am about to hook up a 20 KW standby generator and I need to know what size black screw pipe I need to run for the natural gas feed for the generator. The specs call for a 1/2 load using 209 cu.ft./hr and a full load at 296 cu.ft/hr. The required fuel pressure to generator fuel inlet at all load ranges- 5 to 7 inches of water column for natural gas.
The gas meter has I believe a 1 1/4 inch nipple leaving it then changes to a 2 inch and remains a 2 inch for about 30 feet then starts dropping in size to feed two gas water heaters and 3 gas pack air handlers. I was wondering if a 1 inch line straight from the meter would be big enough for the generator or would it need to be bigger? I am reluctant to T off of the existing 2 inch having 2 water heaters and 3 air handlers already on that line.
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

2 AnswersFriends1 decade agoDid the Kansas City Chiefs recently retire Derrick Thomas number 58?
It seems I read that they did retire his number. If so, it is with good reason. Derrick Thomas was a master at sacking the QB. He did it in college at Alabama and then in the pros at Kansas City. He was fun to watch and his team always rallied around him because he was a difference maker. He was a great linebacker and a good person that was taken away from us way to early in his life. RIP.

I thought I had read where they did do this and if so, for good reason. Derrick was a great player and a good person who got taken from us early in life RIP.

I clearly remember watching them play the Oakland Raiders, who are in the AFC, in a playoff game back in the late 70's or early 80's.
