  • How can I use a PNP or NPN transistor as a switch?

    I need to trigger the coil on a 12v relay. The switch I have delivers a signal of 12v when on, and 2v when off. Both are enough to trigger the coil. How can I suppress the 2v so I have 10v+ on and 0v off?

  • My 10 year old cat just started using the bathroom in the house. Ideas?

    I've got a 10 year old female cat. She seems to be in great health. Very active and still catches various rodents/birds/squirrels, jumps into our 4' high bed, etc, she's in very good physical health for her age. We have a doggie door that she can come and go as she pleases. Over the last week or 2 she's started to relieve herself in the corner of our dining room. We'll tell her 'NO', and we've started various forms of light discipline as you would house train a dog. Nothing seems to work.

    Any ideas as to the cause or solution?
