What is the abstract noun form of the word "epic?"?
Like... "I love how much [epic] was in that movie. It was full of [epic]. It was almost like I could SEE the [epic]. I wish I had more [epic]. I'm lame."
I checked Dictionary.com and several other sites, they only give the forms "epic, epically," and I think 2-3 other forms of the word, but nothing that would fit the blanks above.
3 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade agoHow many words are in The Great Gatsby?
I'm trying to figure out how what I'm writing competes length-wise with other novels, and I read that the average short novel is 20k words. TGG didn't seem like it was nearly that long when I was reading it; has anyone found some kind of online-version of the book or another way to get a word count from it?
2 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoWhat is the percentage of married couples that will eventually get divorced?
I've been looking around online and other places, and I can't find a hard fact that says how many of couples will eventually divorce. It doesn't have to be "divorcing in under ten years," just... how many break up ever. I don't just want "I heard that most couples divorce." Anyone have a reliable source that would help me?
