  • What color flowers with this BM dress? Please help, 10 points!!?

This is my bridesmaid dress, in this color:

    http://s113.photobucket.com/albums/n236/kristybroo...

My dress is ivory, and we're doing gold accents for the bridal party (shoes, etc). I'm sort of stuck on what flowers to go with that won't clash with the dresses. Any input would be great, especially of you have pics!! :D

    Thanks!

  • Bridesmaid boob dilemma?

Okay, I just want to ask this to get a public's opinion to see if I am overreacting. Let me preface by saying I've known my bridesmaid for about ten years, and while she can be a bit annoying sometimes about wantng to be the center of attention, it's never overshadowed her good friendship qualities.

All my bridesmaids have the same build, very slender with smaller chests, so I chose a dress that flattered that body type, a very cute halter we all agreed on. They all got fitted about 2 months ago for my Oct. 10 wedding.

JUST YESTERDAY my bridesmaid tells me that she needs to know where to go to get the dress altered once it comes in. When I ask why, she tells me it's because she's getting a boob job ... 3 weeks before the wedding!!! From an A cup to a D! Her halter dress is going to show those bad boys off in a horrible way - especially since they are still going to be swollen that soon after the surgery (which I'm sure is partially what she wants. The focus on her). I told her the dress alterations are able to be made smaller, not bigger and she told me she'll "squeeze into" the dress.

Am I wrong to be upset/annoyed by this? I mean she can't wait 3 weeks to get this surgery? And to clarify, NO, she never brought this up at all before yesterday.

ALL opinions on this are helpful and appreciated.

    Thanks! :)

  • Is her boyfriend cheating? What would you do?

So, here's the siuation. My friend went home with her boyfriend the other night to his house (they don't live together) and there was a note on his door that said "Mike - we need to talk." and then had a phone number. When she told him to call, he quickly disregarded the letter and said he'd call later. Everytime she asks him about it, he asys he called and it was a wrong number. However, she has called herself and got through. It's a girl's number.

Doesn't this sound suspicious? I'm not sure what to advise her to do. Any suggestions?

    Thanks! :)

  • Can you help me plan my bridal shower?

Hi! My sister is throwing me a bridal shower, but she would like some ideas. I have a few in mind, but don't know how to pull it all together. Any party planners or really creative people out there that can help? Some thoughts I have:

    Fondue - i love fondue :)

    Cupcakes

Signature cocktail (my wedding colors are orange and cream)

I just want it to be really girly and fun! Any suggestions you can give for food, drinks, games, decorations, anything would be great. And of course, inexpensive is good. :)

  • Phoenix rehearsal dinner?

    :)

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good resturant in Phoenix for my rehearsal dinner? Prefereably Mexican, and preferably in the 'metro' PHX area - must have a private room and be around $25/per person. ANY advice is helpful!

  • What to do with uncooperative bridesmaid?

I need some answers so I'm reposting this Q:

    My bridesmaid.

She is driving me nuts right now. I was a BM in her wedding a couple years ago, so she knows how this all works. At first she was so ecstatic to be in my wedding - she is my best friend! I told her about the dresses I chose in March. She had no interest in looking at them or anything, so she was just going to call in and order it (she lives 2 hours away). I gave her until the end of April to do so.

The second week in May (after numerous emails, calls and texts) she finally pays for the dress. Then she gives me her measurements as 38-38-40 - I called in to order it for her (at her request, she didnt want to do it herself) and the lady says those measurements are impossible. Saleslady says we can go forward with this measurement, but that sizes her at a 18 (she's like an 8!!!!) and it will cost $60 more for a plus size dress - which obviously she doesn't need!

Now I've tried every attempt I can to resolve this with her, and she is blantantly ignoring me. I've left voicemails, messages, texts ... nothing! She has been talking to all of my other friends though and as soon as they mention I've been trying to get ahold of her, the response is "yeah, I know".

So what am I to do? Order her a dress I know won't fit and fork out the extra $60 myself for someone that seems to have lost interest in the wedding? Or should i just mail her the money back she paid and tell her "I'm sorry it didn't work out for you to be in my wedding - can't wait to see you there as a guest".

Any advice would be great. Thanks for reading! :)

  • Hawaiian or island theme party?

My mom is getting married a month after me - her and her fiance are eloping in Hawaii. She's been so great with helping me plan my wedding, I feel like she's not fulling getting to enjoy her engagement.

I'd love to throw her a co-ed wedding shower before they go off to get married. Any ideas on how to incorporate island/hawaiian theme into it? I need ideas on food/decor/music etc - the more unique the better!

Thanks all for your help! :)

  • Is there anything MORE annoying ...?

Than this question: "Girls, if your ex was was shrunk down to 2 inches tall, what would you SAY or DO to him?"

WTF??!!!! It's in every section! WHY? What is the purpose? I looked it up - it's been asked 776 times! Omg! Why is SAY and DO always capitalized?

Thanks for letting me vent. But really - anyone know the reasoning behind this?

  • What do I get my sister for high school graduation? $100 budget?

I want to get my sister something nice for graduation. We're pretty close but she lives 90 miles away.

She's a girly girl - likes nice makeup and things like that. I was pondering Tiffany's jewelry, but things in my price range are average at best. I thought maybe a nice purse (Dooney or something) but I'm not sure how that's related to graduating .......

She will be moving to her own place over the summer, but I don't want to give her something boring, or that she can't use for a few months.

NOT cash or gift cards - too impersonal and she'll get alot of that from other family members.

NOT a picture of us or scrapbook type thing - I get the sentiment, but I'm already doing something like that in addition to the gift.

Please help! :-) Ten points best answer!

  • What do I do about my bridesmaid?

I'm a little stressed, to say the least.

I am getting married October 10th of this year. I have my bridesmaid dreses picked out, and 3 out of my four bridesmaids already have called the place we're getting the dresses from and have given their credit card info and measurements to order the dresses. (They all live out of town).

One of my bridesmaids, however, who is supposed to be my best friend, has not. I've asked her about it multiple times, and she just keeps saying that she will take care of it. She's known about the dress obligation since January at least so it's not like I've just sprung this on her. It's not a crazy expensive dress ($100), when I was in her wedding, I paid almost $150.

Now it's getting down to the wire, I've gotten many calls from where I'm ordering the dress saying I have to place the order soon in order to get them on time. I've told her probably 6 or 7 times, and now she is compeltely ignoring my calls and texts.

What do I do? I still want her in my wedding. She's not irresponsible or flaky about anything else, or I wouldn't have chosen her as a bridesmaid. But she's completely ignoring me now.

Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance. : )

  • What is/was your favorite part about wedding planning? Lots of answers please! :)?

I have just over five months left, and I know I'll be sad when it's all over. I've loved the cake tasting, shopping for decorations, etc. I'm looking so forward to the food tasting, the showers, and registering!

What's been your favorite part? And least favorite part?

  • What did you put on your wedding registry?

What should we put on ours? We're already living together, have the basics, but definitley not everything we need.

Also, when do we register? Our wedding is 10.10.09

We were considering registering at Target and Bed, Bath and Beyond. Anywhere else you would suggest?

Thanks! :) Ten points best answer!

  • Am I upset over nothing?? 10 points best answer.?

My wedding is just over five months away. :D Yay! But lately I feel a little down, not sure if it's valid or not. I have chosen a maid of honor (my sister) and three bridesmaids - my best friend, my FH's sister and another close friend. They all live out of town - about an hour away.

I feel like there's really not a whole lot of interest in my wedding on their part. Maybe mostly due to the distance - but none of them came with me to pick out my dress (I put everything up on my wedding blog and they didn't even seem to care to check the site and see what it looks like), only my sister helped with the bridesmaid dresses - the rest don't even know what they look like or seem to care! It's getting down to the wire and one girl is just compeltely not responding about paying for her BM dress.

There's been no mention of showers, or helping with anything whatsoever. I know it's still early - but I just feel like if I were a BM for any of them, I would want to know all the small details, and help them and be excited to plan. AM I wrong for wanting the same thing? I feel like they really don't care at all - but I know and understand everyone's busy with their own lives.

    What's your thought on this?

EDIT - My BFF has been married and I was a BM in her wedding. I planned her entire shower, helped with picking out dresses, and talked to her all the time with wedding details. She just seems to have no interest in mine.

  • Do you like my wedding dresses and flowers? HELP!?

Okay. My wedding is 10/10/09 and I have most of the major details figured out, just need to iron out some of the small details. Help please?

This is my dress in ivory:

    These are my bridesmaid dresses:

    http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_r1nIs_YvMLg/Sb...

    In THIS color:

These are the flowers I want:

    http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_r1nIs_YvMLg/Sb...

    http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_r1nIs_YvMLg/Sb...

I don't know what colors to do that flowers in. I want it bold and colorful, but also to look romantic and not tie dye-ish. Also, should I have the girls wear gold shoes? Originally I told them silver, but me having an ivory dress and the color of the BM dresses, I think gold would look better.

I was thinking about getting the girls necklaces to wear as BM gifts but not sure what style to go with, or if should forget that thought altogether since they're halter dresses.

Please give all your advice and opinions! : )

  • Um? Should I look for a new job? HELP please!?

How can I find out who owns this property in Arizona? I came to work this morning and there was a notice on the door that our building will be going up for auction in July. Uhhh?! I called our Director in a panic and she was so nonchalant about it all, and said there's nothing to worry about because we own it. (She's usually so high strung about EVERYTHING, so her attitude was very out of character whether we own it or not). Thing is, I think we rent it! How do I find out for sure? I don't want to be out of a job come July!

This assesors site confuses me and says it has "no owners".

Since this is an official notice notarized by the state, that DOES me it's going up for auction regardless, right? So really the only way to save it is if we buy at the auction? Should I look for another job and/or confront management about this? I deserve to know my outcome here, right?

It just says notice of Trustee's sale ... and it does say the remaining amount: $1.2 MILLION! So, I think that's a bit more than back taxes as that is just the principal. It's a five page letter from our county's records recorder.

  • Blackberry storm volume?

Okay. This question is sort of hard to word, so 10 points to whoever gets what I'm trying to ask and answers it! Here goes:

I have a Blackberry Storm and right now the volume settings are set on "loud". I went to turn on my 'iheartradio' app (which I do all the time) and I couldn't hear it! I used the arrow keys on the side to try and turn it up, and it got a TINY bit louder, but I had to hold it up to my ear like a normal phone call to even remotley hear it - ususally it's liek a speakerphone and I can hear it loud and clear! Any advice? I already tried turning the phone off and on and that didn't help.

    HELP!
