I got a male budgie a month ago. He is now 2 months old and he is bonding with me well and steps up when he feels like it :/ my main concern is his obsession with any toy that has a mirror. He will ignore the other 8 toys in his cage and sit in one spot staring at his reflection, I move the mirror and he will move with it. Should I remove the mirror from his cage? Can it cause anxiety or a risk of him bonding more with his reflection than me?

Also my boyfriend has a rainbow lorikeet and we are slowly introducing the two to each other but the budgie seems aggressive, could the mirror be the cause of aggressive behaviour?

He has a very large cage, he gets out to play atleast once a day, his wing has been trimmed, he isn't frightened by loud noises such as vacuums and can even travel in the car

Hi,

I have a small sore on my gum just above my tooth thats been there for about 2 weeks now. When i was eating popcorn a peice of the shell got stuck between my tooth and my gum, I pulled it out about 2 days later but now there is this sore there. It doesnt hurt at all and hasnt got any bigger but I'm getting a little nervous that it may lead to bigger problems.

Anyone had this before or have any idea what it could be?

I bought a fighting fish to work yesterday and he seems to be going fine but I just realised this weekend is a 4 day weekend. Can he last 4 days without food or am I better off taking him home? (problem is I won't be home much either)

My boyfriend bought a Swanson (rainbow) lorikeet about 6 months ago. He was hand reared, but he never seemed to like me he loves my boyfriend though. When my boyfriend goes away and I look after him he always flies to me and clings to the front of my shirt all day and sits on my shoulder, but when my boyfriend is home he chases me and bites my feet and loves to bite any exposed skin, my fingers, scalp, shoulders, legs, toes. I don't yell or hit his beak or anything but why is he aggresive towards me?

And how can I not show my fear I'm really scared of him biting my face and ears! It hurts!

He's a happy little bird with lots of different toys and he chatters to himself :)

Ps not sure of the sex because we can't afford DNA sexing but I assume it's a "he"

Ive just moved into a rented apartment (so i can make no changes, nor can I ask my landlord to as she is 86 and doesnt have the money) with 12ft Ceilings (3.6m), come winter im always cold so I want to find the most cost effective way to heat the house. The catches being that the ceilings are tall and its all open plan space so the bedroom, kitchen, lounge and diningroom are all one big space so there arent doors to shut to trap the heat.

So what can I do to stop my power bills going through the roof and be comfotably warm?

Hi, I just bought a second hand samsung galaxy tab, it's not locked to a network so I put my vodafone mobile broadband sim in it, I can receive messages etc but can not connect to the Internet. Im an apple person so I'm lost when it comes to android. Does anyone know what this could be? PS I had the same problem when I put my optus phone sim in it

Hi I just bought a samsung galaxy tab (secon hand) but when I got it home I found it was locked with a pattern. Me being impatient tried to guess the pattern which eventually locked me out saying that I have to sign in with the gogole account linked to the tab, but I'm not able to ger in contact with the seller. I have always been an apple user so I am clueless when it comes to android, am I able to do a factory reset or similar that will wipe the pattern and any other data on the tab? And if so how do i go about that?

My boyfriend Bought a rainbow lorikeet(swainson, hand reared, he is now 3 months) last weekend. But within two hours of bringing him home (not entirely sure of the sex) he hates me. He always puffs himself up and rushes to the edge of the cage to peck me when I walk by. My boyfriend has gone away for a few days and he won't even let me change his water. What do I do?I've tried bribing him with apple and bottle brush...

For my last job I had to set up a home office. I had to buy a new desk,chair, keyboard etc. I kept all the receipts. Can I claim this on tax even though I am no longer doing this job?

My dentist has made me a proper guard to wear at night but within a month I had already ground deep grooves into it. I still wear it at night to protect my teeth from further damage (I have some porcelain crowns im terrified of damaging) but I also find myself subconsciously clenching my teeth during the day. The pain I experienced before the guard was made has greatly dinished! My dentist is at a loss with me.

Has anyone found a solution to this?(preferably not too costly)
