  • I've been revising for months, should I go out 1 evening of take a night off?

i'm currently sitting my AS Level exams with my first on May 11th. Recently my friend invited me and some other friends to go and see her in a theatre production that's only on for 2 nights. We're going on May 7th. I've been revising for months but I'm still uncertain as to whether I should go or not. I'll have to stay overnight as it's in another city late in the evening, so essentially I'd loose the best part of a day or more where I could be revising. I could revise on the train there and back, and before I head back home the next day, but I'm worried that it'll be THAT day where I have less time to revise that'll be the day that costs me [I'm a worrier].

My mum says it will be good for me, as since starting revision I haven't properly been out since late January, but I'm uncertain. What should I do?

  • How do I lie to my family about where I'm going?

Before I continue with this, this is nothing horrific or anything like that. I just need to explain first.

I live in a town 20 minutes outside of a city - not massive like London, but big enough that I know my way around. Frequently, I go into town, and I've been into the city twice on my own, Both in the past year, however I've not been alone any time recently.

It's the summer, and now I while I have the chance to just do things alone, I want to go shopping in the city on my own. I'm 16 years old, and my family are a bit weary of me going alone although they know that I've done it before and know my way around.

Ideally I want to do this soon, but it means lying to them, and I'm not very good at lying.

    Any advice?

    Thanks

  • Irregular Periods?

I'm 15 years old nearly 16. I had my first period just under four years ago - then I didn't have another one for six months. I've never had what you could call "regular" periods. By saying this I mean that I normally don't have a period every month, usually every other month. Sometimes I can go two months or three - and that's when it starts to worry me.

My mum is concerned because although I don't like talking to her about stuff like that she thinks that if it doesn't settle down I should go to a doctor because something could be wrong. But this happens to a lot of people doesn't it?

I'm worried because of the fact that I'd like to think that I'll have children when I'm older and I'm worried that something like this could effect that prospect.

Does anyone have any advice surrounding this?

  • Cello Music If I Stay Trailer?

In the first half of the If I Stay trailer, there is some cello music playing.

As a cellist myself, I'm really curious as to what this piece is.

    Does anyone know?

Here is a link to the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2agNeovUjr0

Tomorrow I'm going away for two nights with a few of my friends in my class to Belgium as part of GCSE history.

I've not been away from home for four years and I've been fine up until this week and now I'm just really nervous.

Does anyone have advice about how I can cope with homesickness?

    Thanks

  • How to sleep away from home?

Tomorrow I'm going away for two nights with a few of my friends in my class to Belgium as part of GCSE history.

I suffer from insomnia. I've suffered with insomnia for as long as I can remember and it becomes really difficult at times, especially when in a different bed, far away from home. I'm fifteen now and I've not been away from home without my family for four years and I know that managing homesickness for that time is going to be difficult too.

Does anyone have any advice about how to get to sleep when you're away from home?

    Thanks

  • What happens when a wave crosses a boundary into a different medium?

This is the final question in my Physics homework and apparently on and exam it would be worth six marks. This is rather urgent as I only got this today and it's due in tomorrow.

    Thanks.

  • Looking for a Harry Potter Fanfiction?

I was wondering if anyone had heard of this fanfiction on HarryPotterfanfiction.com. In the story Hermione is diagnosed with cancer and dies. Ron gives Rose a box of letters that Hermione wrote for her that are to be opened on certain dates. The first chapter begins with Rose opening Hermione's final letter on her 23rd birthday.

If anyone knows the name of this story please let me know. I really enjoyed reading this story and would like to read it again.

    Thanks.

  • How can I get to sleep?

Tomorrow I am going to London for a week and I am incredibly excited. The only thing that is bothering me is that I also suffer from insomnia and often it takes me a long time to get to sleep. It is worse in situations like this where I can't stop thinking about the week ahead. Please can someone just tell me how to have a good nights sleep without ruining the first day of my holiday from exhaustion?

  • What do I buy my Dad's girlfriend for Christmas?

I have known my Dad's girlfriend for a year and she is also the mother of my half brother. I know there are only four more days until Christmas but I really want to get her a present. She has been so nice and kind and I really appreciate her being so friendly towards me. It only seems right to get her a gift. Any ideas for someone between the ages of 25 and 30?
