  • Finance Question - Add On Method (Paul is buying a new boat...)?

Paul is buying a new boat for $17,000. The dealer is charging him an annual interest rate of 8.5% and is using the add-on method to compute his monthly payments.

If he wants to have monthly payments of $350, how large should his down payment be?

I know the answer is: $2263.16.

Can someone please walk me through step-by-step how this answer was attained.

    Thank you!

  • Walter De La Mare - Fare Well (Need help with a segment)?

What does this segment literally mean?

Look thy last on all things lovely,

    Every hour. Let no night

Seal thy sense in deathly slumber

    Till to delight

    Thou have paid thy utmost blessing;

Since that all things thou wouldst praise

Beauty took from those who loved them

    In other days.

  • Economics HW Help Please!?

Demand & Suppky for Taxi Rides

Fare (per ride) Qty Demanded Qty Supplied

    $7.00 10 12

    $6.50 11 11

    $6.00 12 10

    $5.50 13 9

    $5.00 14 8

    $4.50 15 7

I have already found the equilibrium price and quantity (Pe = $6.50, Qe = 11)

If there was a price ceiling imposed by the city of $5.50, I already concluded there would be a 4 million ride shortage.

    My question is:

If there was a market crash which resulted in poorer people which reduced the quanity of taxi rides demanded by 6 million ries a year at any price. How would the effect of the ceiling price of $5.50 impact now?

    Thanks!

  • Calculating the average volume of the balloon!?

    7. Calculate the average radius of the balloon by dividing the average circumference by 6.28 which is approximately equal to 2 π.

    8. Calculate the average volume of the balloon as 4 π r ³/3. This is the tidal volume of one average breath in cm³ or cc, also in mL.

    9. Multiply the average tidal volume in mL by the average number of breaths you take per minute. Divide the product by 1000 to get the tidal volume per minute in liters.

For 7: My answer is 1.82. I can do #9, but I am struggling with #8 therefore #9 is unanswered.

    Thanks!

  • Microsoft Excel Question!?

I have (2) columns, under A1 I indicate Part Numbers (Ex: 173,174,175, etc). In the second column I indicate the value of cases built, (Ex: 23, 42, 50, etc).

My question is what kind of a formula would allow me to search for all the entries with part number 175 for example and give me the total cases built? Sometimes I have multiple entries with the same part number.

  • Access 2007 Query Question!?

How do I write a query that will do a search across (7) fields after the parameter has been entered? Also in what field/s would I enter the parameter?

    Example:

    I have (7) fields labeled:

    Field 1: Traveler 1

    Field 2: Traveler 2

    Field 3: Traveler 3

Under criteria in field 1 if I enter [Enter Traveler 1] the user would have to enter a Traveler # that was input in that field. I need to have the parameter ask [Enter Traveler] and have it search in all (7) fields.

  • Would appreciate thoughts on possible relocation...???

I currently work in Operations in the beautiful Mile High City with a yearly salary of $64K with a 2-3% increase coming this year. I am also eligible for up to $10k a year in tuition reimbursement should I need it since I only have an AA degree. Also my family medical insurance costs me around $2040 a year.

Last week another company offered me a Production Manager position with a $65k a year starting salary, with up to 5% a year salary bonus, stock options, but they do not have tuition reimburement and it is in Atlanta, GA. They will pay up to $10k for me to relocate. Family medical with this company will cost me around $3840 a year here. They mentioned that their intent is to have me trained and then assume the position of Plant Manager. Once that happens I will then be eligible for a 10% salary bonus.

I am somewhat unsure on what to decide. What would you do??? I appreciate thoughtful and serious answers please since this is very important to me. ~ Thank you

  • Hilarious???

A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings. The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbor.

Before she says a word, Bob says, 'I'll give you $800 to drop that towel.'

After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob.

After a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves.

The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, 'Who was that?'

'It was Bob, the next-door neighbor,' she replies.

'Great!' the husband says. 'Did he bring me the $800 he owes me?'
