  • Why does a GOOD God use prophets if fortune telling and divination is evil?

Why does the God of the bible that is supposed to be good use prophets?

    Divination definition:

    div·i·na·tion/ˌdivəˈnāSHən/

    Noun:

The practice of seeking knowledge of the future or the unknown by SUPERNATURAL MEANS.

    Fortune telling definition:

The art or gift of prophecy (or the pretense of prophecy) by supernatural means

    Related words include soothsaying, vaticination......

    In the bible it says:

    Deuteronomy 18:10

There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.

    Jeremiah 14:14

Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

So I guess there are true prophets and false prophets all doing the same practice? Telling the future by supernatural means? Isn't it rather contradictory to use divination and condemn it.....and for those who say "He was talking to Israel"......

    Mal 3:6

6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

    Isa 55:11

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

I thought He said He didn't change.....if indeed the bible is the word of God.....what did Paul (God's servant) say in 1 Cor 9:20-22......looks like some changing to me.

I thought He was not a man that He should lie (Num 23:19).....

How does a GOOD God contradict Himself?

  • Why do SOME Christians avoid questions when presented with evidence?

Last time I checked isn't that the action of a deceptive person?

I have noticed that when I am talking to a liar, they usually avoid the question and give a bunch of irrelevant information and never really answer my question. By the time I'm finished I forgot what my question was...smh. How can one be good and a liar?

    Hmmmmm.............

  • Christians: Does Jesus bring peace or a sword?

    Matt 10:34-36

    or

    Mal 4:5-6

5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:

6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Hearts to or set at variance?

Also, if these scriptures hold true:

Does anyone see anything wrong here?

  • Christians: Does God repent or doesn't He?

    Genesis 6:6

And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

    Exodus 32:14

And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

    Numbers 23:19

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

    1 Samuel 15:29

And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent.

    Psalm 110:4

The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

    Jeremiah 4:28

For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black; because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

    Jeremiah 18:8

If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.

  • Atheists: Is the bible a book of lies?

I concur that there are lies in the bible. I have to ask, are there not lies in history books, science books and other books as well? Isn't man-made religion and knowledge still man-made? My question is, if you don't believe in God (I don't either).....what is the alternative? I believe in a good Heavenly Father who allows freedom which is why He hasn't controlled or intervened in the affairs of man. He does hold everyone accountable.......in His time. I am NOT forcing my belief on you I am telling you what I believe....check this out:

It was your choice to read my question.

It was your choice to answer my question.

It was your choice to decline to read it.

It was your choice to decline to respond.

How does one force his/her belief on you if it is your choice to read or respond? Isn't it hypocrisy to try to force someone to be silent about what they believe? Isn't it equally controlling to police the thoughts of another? How is making someone keep quiet any better than making someone listen against their will?

  • Christians: How can good be evil?

If the God of the bible is good, why does He commit genocide, urge rape, incest, murder, abortion......I don't understand something good being jealous or even ever having to repent of evil........... Good is good and evil is evil.

Christians who condemn others with the Babel.....yes, the Babel....that word is strikingly similar to Bible isn't it? Babel means confusion. Does the God of the bible repent or repent not?

Do Christians even read their religions book? I am a former Christian....I no longer believe in the God of the bible....I DO love the Heavenly Father whose name is Yah and He is holy. The God of the bible is evil from what I see. Even if this question is reported....evil is being evil........I am asking a question of how good can do evil. Can anyone answer this HONESTLY?

  • Atheists why do you put ALL of your eggs in the logic basket?

    Just hear me out.

Let's say you are right about the bible being a book of fairy tales (I say a book of lies........).........I agree as a former Christian, Follower of Christ, Follower of Yeshua......that the bible is FULL of contradictions and the "God" of the bible is evil. The bible IS a corrupt book and there is some truth in it but as a whole it is not true.

Here is where I ask you about logic:

If the bible is corrupt, why wouldn't the same evil that corrupted the bible corrupt history, science, education, archaeology etc?

And yes, there are many people who agree on history....MANY people agree that the bible is the word of "God" too. How can you say that the same force that can produce an oppressive book like the bible and other oppressive things like religion would not manipulate history and evidence to continue to oppress everyone who didn't fall for the bible? Evil attempts to control.........look at history.....or rather his story......or their stories.....

I am going to give an example. Let's say for a sec that there is a Heavenly Father who is good and spoke good words.....then let's say that those who are evil & hate Him and His did evil against them. What better way to try to destroy Him than to discredit Him and destroy His beloved creation?

I always hear atheists say "you cannot prove a negative" YOU ARE RIGHT. You can't prove a negative, but isn't that exactly what you do when you try to prove that He created evil? Evil = a negative.....you can't prove it. It just is not good.

I ask you this bc I know personally that He is real and He showed me that the bible was evil. You have to basically understand evil to believe that the God of the bible is good......anyone who does not understand evil will eventually reject the God of the bible bc He was a genocidal maniac who promoted racism. That is not who the Heavenly Father is.....He is good. He is real. His truth is absolute & they used His words to validate their lies....to promote their agenda.....look at the world & look who brought you the bible & scripture in the first place.......Those who oppressed then still oppress now.

What good parent would allow their child to be slaughtered for the benefit of His children who hate Him? What good parent would be partial to one of His children and ignore the others? Partiality is evil......any child who has experienced it knows it. Now, what good parent would lay Himself down for His children? There is no Father and Son.....He is one and He is real.

  • If Jesus Christ was His name, why is it still in the bible?

If the name "Jesus" is powerful, why do so many people know it and the world is still evil?

Why is it that Jesus remained in the bible if the name is hated? If that name is hated, wouldn't those who hate it actively campaign to remove it?

Everywhere that the bible says LORD or LORD God or GOD is where the name YHVH appeared and as REMOVED and REPLACED. They added Jehovah and Ishi and other names as His name, but why would you trust anyone who tried to write the name of the Heavenly Father out of the bible?

Also, how can His name be Jesus or Jehovah when the letter J didn't come about until the 14th century? And why would the Heavenly Father allow man's hands to transliterate His true name if it is true?

  • If Christians are right about the way to heaven?

Why are there so many of them when the way that leads to life is narrow & few find it?

    Matthew 7:14

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

If Jesus said that the law would not pass away, why does everyone believe Paul when he says it was nailed to the cross? The law was not nailed to the cross. Jesus fulfilled ALL of the sacrifices. If you knew ANYTHING about all of the sacrifices they had to do....you can see how Jesus fulfilled every single one....no more animal blood had to be shed. He was the last sacrifice. That doesn't mean God's law went away. Just there is no more sacrifice needed bc it was fulfilled by His sacrifice.

So so sad that so many Christians will be closer to hell than what they consider "the heathen".

All of you follow Paul & not Jesus & you can't say on the day of judgment that nobody told you. Today, you have been told.

  • Will Jesus tell you that He didn't know you?

    Matt7:21-23

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

You better humble yourself before Him & seek His face b4 it is too late. Do you really know what His will is?

    Question:

If any prophet degrades the word of a prophet b4 him.....(so for instance, if Jesus came & disagreed with Moses, Jeremiah, Isaiah, etc. so on & so forth)....wouldn't they be a false prophet?

So why don't we apply that standard to everyone in the bible? Paul disagrees with Jesus on a lot of things & He taught them to eat meat sacrificed to idols 1 Cor 8 Jesus told them the truth AGAIN in Rev 2:14-19.......

Do you know Him or do you go to church?

Going to church & reading the bible.......kinda like this:

Let's say someone wrote a book about you......quoted you word for word...when you left, someone else wrote Vol 2 of the book, they added your words & they added their own words & said they were all your words. A long time later, the 2nd vol of the book is printed worldwide..people all read the words then they go to book clubs...they never call you to fact check the book...they just assume they know you personally bc they read the book about you....can quote it to others who haven't read the book...& some don't even feel they have to read the book, they just go to the book club & listen to excerpts from the book & sing songs about how wonderful you are. They never come to you.......but they believe they know you personally. How would you feel? Would you let those people into your house after they didn't care to get to know you?

Jesus constantly said it....I believe eyes are being opened in this time.

Read these scriptures & I pray your eyes are opened:

Prov 18:13. Matt 13 ALL of IT.

What is the seed in the 1st parable? Remember this when reading the 2nd one. God is awesome.

Heed the warnings: Matt 16:6, Matt 23, Jer 5:6, Gen 49:27, Isa 55:11, Mal 3:6

  • Do atheists offend you or make you sad?

To me, atheists who say things like "sky daddy" or equate my belief in Jesus Christ to believing fairy tales makes me sad more than anything. The fact that anyone willingly rejects who created them....& knowing that the consequences for said rejection are severe.....smh....but we all have the ability to choose Rev 22:11 says it best.

    Revelation 22:11

11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

I believe what God says is true, & you have to know which words are God's words....Paul is a liar & the source for ALL of the contradictions of the bible. He is an identity thief....he said so himself 1 Cor 9:20-22 (he literally came in sheep's clothing....when people realized he was a liar, I believe he masqueraded as the true sheep & wrote letters in their names....God chooses His words well & they DO NOT return to Him void...Isa 55:11, Mal 3:6....if He said wolf in sheep's clothing He meant just that..Matthew & Revelation are the only 2 books that I trust in the New Testament).

If you do not share my conviction, your choice. I tell the truth which does not change...it is absolute. God's truth is the only truth. The Council of Rome in 382 voted on which books they wanted in the bible. The Catholic church suppressed them (bibles), ppl finally started reading it for themselves & over time it ultimately ended up in the KJV that we have today. Yes King James' motives were not pure (which is why we have a corrupt bible)......the Holy Spirit is now separating the sheep & the goats. It is all apparent that God is real & who He says He is. His words are true & we must believe.

    Do atheists offend you?

  • Is anyone else starting to doubt Paul's apostleship?

It does not add up to me. I'm sorry & I am not leaning on my own understanding....I am just looking at the word of God. Jesus.....all His words agree with God & ultimately lead you back to Him & His commandments........Paul's....they contradict the words of Jesus. Even down to whether Paul is an apostle; however, when I read prophecy from Genesis 49, Jeremiah 5, then I look at what Jesus said about "ravening wolves" & Pharisees (Matt 7:15, Matt 16:6, Matt 23) ....then I consider God said His words don't return void Isa 55:11 & that He doesn't change Mal 3:6. THEN Paul implicates himself by identifying himself in two ways, as a Pharisee & of the tribe of Benjamin (Acts 23:6, Phil 3:4-5)....it dawned on me.....Jesus was warning us a long time ago. Even in Revelation when he talks about the doctrine of Balaam....Balaam ended up tricking Israel into eating meat offered to idols....then I look at 1 Cor 8 and I wondered, what happens if everyone has a strong conscience & they sit at meat at the idol's temple? Then I gasped........ I am still wondering about this. Don't present me with Paul's words...I don't believe him...show me where Jesus said it is okay to eat meat sacrificed to idols....and where Jesus said grace & not doing the will of our Father. Paul even told different versions of his Damascus story (Acts 9, 22, 26 2 Cor 11, Gal 1:17)....how many visions did Paul have? Was he told what to do on the road in ONE vision...or was he told to go to Damascus & be told what to do when he got there?

    Hosea 4:6

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Don't answer this without looking into it....I am not looking for a pew-warmer to respond. I want to hear from people who know the word of God.

    Proverbs 18:13

13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.

  • Does Jesus speak to you?

If He doesn't, you are in trouble. Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Fall to your knees & seek His face while there is still time. God loves you & His will is not that anyone would perish. Once you are dead, it's done.

  • Are most Christians headed to hell unknowingly?

The reason I ask is bc in my studies a while ago, and recently I ran across the scripture where JESUS said:

    Matt 7:21-23

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

I always hear "we are under grace" that doesn't apply. Or I also hear we are under a new covenant....as a way to side-step what Jesus told His followers to do.......

There are going to be people at the end of time who thought they were in good standing.....clearly they believed & some of them even did great works.............but they didn't know Jesus. Do you know Jesus or do you know church dogma & doctrine. If you do not know Him, fall to your knees & seek His face while it is time. Are most Christians headed to hell?
