Derby Mopar ND

i know these motors have problems...

just picked up a car....the car runs/drives....but sounds like it restricted, the car goes about a top of 15 mph and has no power....the car doesn't leak any oil, or anything for matter of fact..

i cut the exhuast and checked that catalytic converter to make sure it wasn't plugged.... but that wasn't the problem...

i pulled the top cover off and checked the spark plugs, then did a compression test on each cylinder... each cylinder has 200 on them.... so that ain't the problem.....

could it be as simple as Mass Air Flow Sensor, or O2 sensor, bad gas, fuel filter, weak fuel pump..??? or is it that the time chain jumped and the car is out of time???

its buried in a snow pile right.... need to know asap if it has steel bumpers on for a diff. car???

i need to know if the exhaust manifolds on a 350 chevy are interchangeable on a 283, 305, 307, and 400 GM motors

what else interchanges?

got ahold of some 10 ply tires but are 16 inch for my derby cars... wondering if there are 16 inch steel rims with that bolt pattern (5 x 4.75)????

Can anyone tell me the factory rearend in a 70 impala.

10 bolt, 12 bolt, or other...

did they have C-Clips or not?

and how can your prevent c-clips from breaking and losing an axle.??

a little more insight on me is that i am single dad fighting for custody of my son for the past 2 years... but everyone around Bismarck, ND either knows this or when i tell them i have a kid it always seems like a downer to them.. one-nighters don't really care but whenever i want to be in a relationship to me it seems like no one wants to carry on an extra burden... and my son is no burden... is there no decent girls left out there?...lol...

i almost feel like giving up ... and its not like im lookin for girls at the bar... its just hard to meet new people that don't either know you or knows someone that i know... ya know what i mean... bismarck ain't the biggest city in the world... like what maybe 60000 people.. and yea ... life's beginning to drag.. lol..

I ran this motor once in a derby and lasted 5 minutes... car is good... just had mechanical problems.

The motor runs, has good compression, runs good, but when i put it in any gear the motor gets to much of a load on it..

i was able to drive it off of the trailer, but had to keep the peddle to floor. (the car has plenty of gas - fuel pumps works great)

I recently put a new needle and seat in the carburator.

my conclusion came down to two things ----

1. The timing is completely F****d up or (timing chain, distributor)

2. The torque converter is not working right

this motor runs on points, i checked them and they are good, i put a new set in.

I did notice that the points didn't open up right a couple of times but didn't make a diff. either way.

any suggestions??? on what it could be or what to look for?
