Buying a baby onesie as present for grandmas?
I am thinking about buying personalized onesies for my baby that is due around Christmas for mine and my husband's mothers. For example, my mom loves hummingbirds, so I'm thinking about buying a onesie (for the baby) that has a hummingbird that say's Nana's little girl or something. is this a dumb idea since technically it's for the baby? We are short on money and only doing small gifts this year with baby on the way, and everyone knows that. No one is expecting anything fancy.

1 AnswerLaw & Ethics7 years agoTrouble with my Excel Document?
I have my budget saved on an excel document on my jump drive. This document works fine for a couple of weeks, and then it starts freezing, taking longer and longer to open, and then saving takes forever. To avoid this, I usually copy the data and paste it into a brand new excel document. Now I am on my third try doing this, and it seems like faster and faster, it starts to act funny. It's not my jump drive because I don't have this problem with any other document on there. I do not want to make a brand new budget because I love the format of this. I've tried running spyware just on my jump drive and nothing is ever found. HELP!? What can I do?
2 AnswersSoftware7 years agoMy wallet was stolen at work and my parents/bosses won't help.?
My wallet was stolen presumably out of my purse at work on Friday. I have excluded all other possibilities of what could have happened. I have already cancelled all credit cards and placed a fraud alert on my account. My work DOES have cameras that view the door of my office. However, my bosses are refusing to help with the matter. Oh by the way, I work for my parents. They keep telling me it is no big deal, and I shouldn't worry about it. They are claiming they have no idea how to work the cameras and refuse to even try. They told me I can investigate it myself, but not to waste too much time on it. I am having to team up with my supervisor who is also a great friend of mine. Together, we are hopefully getting the camera company to send us a video of the day of the burglary. Is there anything legally I can do with my parents? I don't want to sue my own parents, but this is ridiculous. Usually parents want to help their child and shouldn't they have a legal obligation to help their employee? I was waiting to file a police report until I could see if there was physical evidence first. Otherwise the cops will just say I lost it and refuse to investigate.
I have been looking for another job for a while now and nothing has come through. Also, I am getting married in May, so I really want to stay here until then and use up my vacation time for that. Also, I am getting married AT my parents' house, so I don't want to ruin our relationship before then because my mom could ruin my wedding.
Any advice would be great. Please do not comment if you are going to be rude. I have had about the worst year of my life in the past 21 days of 2014, and more than anything, I Just need honest advice. Not criticism.
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoIs St. Louis, MO a fun place to go for a bachelor/bachelorette party?
We want to go to Six Flags for some amusement park fun, but we also want to live the experience. Are there fun clubs and/or strip clubs that we can enjoy downtown?
2 AnswersSt. Louis7 years agoWhich trip would be cheaper?
I am trying to do a destination bachelor/bachelorette party for my bridal party. We really really wanted to go on a cruise. A cruise charges one fee which is almost all inclusive. We are looking at under $400 a person which includes everything accept alcohol. (We won't do any excursions, we'll just chill on the boat.) Although this price is high, it is all inclusive (to an extent). Our other option would be to take a weekend trip to Nashville or New Orleans. This will include hotel, meals, clubs, drinks, and everything else we want to do. I'm trying to decide which would be overall cheaper.
Thanks!
2 AnswersOther - Destinations7 years agoHow long will Jell-O shots in syringes last in the fridge?
I made Jell-O shots on Tuesday night for a New Year's Eve party and then we ended up not going. It's now Sunday and I'm hoping to keep them until my sisters birthday on January 18th? Will they last this long in the fridge?
2 AnswersBeer, Wine & Spirits7 years agoWhat will happen to me with Obamacare?
I recently had insurance as a student and it was super cheap. I graduated in April and dropped it. My fiancé has insurance through his job, and we get married in May. Now, the law says that I have to have insurance by March something... But what's the point?! Why would I buy it for 5 months and waste my money, just to switch in May? If he didn't have it through his job, I would refuse anyway.
My question is, what will be my penalty according the Obamacare?
4 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoHiring caterer: How to serve cocktail reception at wedding?
We are going to have an evening ceremony at my parents mansion and then serve cocktails only at reception with full bar (instead of a full menu). Do I hire a caterer or do these finger foods ourself? Also, my florist and caterer are going To be the same company so I may actually get a deal on that. I just don't want to get overwhelmed serving food for over 100 people.
9 AnswersWeddings8 years agoWhat hair color would look best on me?
Ok, the picture with the face taken off is me, obviously. That's my hair color now, and it's pretty natural (a light brown color). Out of all these pics I love the red color underneath and on the bottom the most, but I've had my hair blonde before and loved it which is why I keep going back to blonde too. I'm afraid highlights on top and the red underneath will be too much. What do you think?

1 AnswerHair8 years agoWhich is better for a mini-honeymoon?
My fiancé and I are getting married in May, but our honeymoon is booked in the Virgin Islands for September. We want to do a small get-away after the wedding for a mini-honeymoon. We thought about taking a family cruise, but those can get expensive. We also thought about just driving to the mountains or down to the beach. What do you think is a good idea for a short mini-honeymoon? We live near Memphis.
5 AnswersWeddings8 years agoHow do I stop being intimidated and hateful to nurses?
Fresh out of high school, I failed nursing school. I hated clinicals and stopped working academically. I knew it wasn't for me. But now I'm intimidated by any nurse that I see. I am mostly rude to girls that are my age that have succeeded as nurses because I know they are making more money than me. How do I stop these feelings?
And no, I can't go back to nursing school. I'm working full time and don't have time, I don't have the money to pay for school, and I hated it, so I don't want to go back!

We are traveling to the Virgin Islands next August for our honeymoon. Our plane tickets and hotel are paid for. So technically we just need spending money. How much would you budget for this? $$/day is convenient if possible
2 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships8 years agoWill it be too hot for a wedding ceremony in August in Florida?
My wedding date is set to be August 16, 2014 at sunset at an outside venue. The reception won't last more than 20 minutes, and there is a bar outside to accommodate guests. Is this too hot? Do I need to change my date? The reception will follow inside.
7 AnswersWeddings8 years agoBump on fracture site after years of healing?
I had a tib/fib fracture in my leg about 10 years ago. No rods or screws, just a cast. When I first got the cast off, I noticed a large hump on my leg. The doctor said it was calcium buildup and would go away by the time I was 18 (I was then 12). Well, now I'm 22, and of course the hump is not near as large, but it is still so noticeable and I'm so self conscious about it. Has anyone else experienced this with a break?

3 AnswersBeer, Wine & Spirits8 years agoIs any woman happy with the way she looks?
I am an attractive girl, 5' tall, 100 pounds with long brown hair. My fiancé thinks I am the most beautiful thing ever. (Of course.) But I have never been happy with the way I look. Even when I work out, I always pick something out about me that I hate! My boobs are too small, my thighs are too big, etc. Is this just a girl thing? Or is there someone out there who is entirely happy with the way she looks and how did you get that way!?
1 AnswerSingles & Dating8 years agoIs it rude to make my guests help pay for the rental house?
I am thinking about renting a beach house for my wedding reception, and the wedding party can stay there too. It will be like a huge mansion that sleeps 15+ people. However, this may be a bit over budget. Is it rude to ask the people sleeping in the house to contribute? It would still be less than a hotel, but enough to help me out.
13 AnswersWeddings8 years agoVenue to get married in Florida panhandle?
I am looking for a venue to get married in the Florida panhandle. I am thinking of just doing a small ceremony, but I do NOT want it on the beach. I would rather it be outside, maybe on a patio or garden. Then possibly go back to our rented beach house for a reception. Does anyone have any ideas? I have an extremely small budget too, so the cheaper the better.
2 AnswersWeddings8 years agoWho has the right of way?
Ok, I'm going to draw a mental picture of this situation. When I get off of the interstate, I have my own lane that turns into a turning lane. This is the lane that I take for work. However, the main road is only one lane until it merges into that same lane and the one turning lane I mentioned above. I feel like I have the right of way to take my own lane and the others should have to merge over, but every morning for the past 2 years, everyone stops there and let's the other lane do what they want, and then they go when there isn't another car coming, whether they are using the turn lane (that they are technically already in) or not. Can someone explain to me who has the right of way?
