I'm in college right now studying Public Relations and the deeper I get into school, the more issues I find that I want to make a difference about.

How can I make a difference in my city?

Particularly. For example, they're thinking of developing a section of land in my town instead of turning it into a wildlife refuge/park.

I'm not sure if I'm missing some outlet for the public voice or what approach would be best?

I have a Roland synthesizer and an Audio Tech mic and I was wondering what I needed to do to connect the two? I'm not sure if I need an external audio interface or if the power from my keyboard would suffice?

I'm like 7 months into my 9 months of supervised probation and I haven't gotten a random UA since August.

Originally I got a DUI and recently completed all of the counseling involved.

I haven't had any issues whatsoever, but yesterday I smoked weed and today I got called in for a random UA.

I was thinking about going in a taking it and counting on my good record to get light sentencing (hopefully?)

or I was thinking about saying I left town and taking whatever consequences that would involve...

I live in Washington, so I thought maybe weed would be okay now that it was legal and I didn't initially get in trouble for that anyway... but technically on probation you're supposed to stay away from all unprescribed controlled substances, but I'm not sure if weed counts now that it's legal?

So I was also kindof going to make an argument for that...

But I'm not really sure what to do or what would happen with a probation violation.

Any advice?

I haven't smoked in like 6 months and I took like 4 hits yesterday off a blunt. I have a pee test in exactly a week. Do you think I would pass? Is there anything that will help? Or should I try to reschedule?

From the little I know about it, comparable to Marxist ideology, it would be ideal. But the countries that claim to be Communist today- China, Cuba, N. Korea, etc... don't seem Utopian at all. If someone could explain modern day communism to me, it would be greatly appreciated!

I'm tryin' to study abroad in Australia next fall but I can't decide where to go!

I want to experience Aussie culture but get an excellent internship while I'm studying. Beaches and other natural landscapes would be a plus.

What I'm really wondering though is about the city with the best music scene? I love triple j & if I could see some of my favorite bands while I'm down there, it'd be awesome!

I've been hanging out and hooking up with this guy for like 6 months and a couple weeks ago he asked me to be his girlfriend.

I thought that's what I wanted for the past six months but now I feel as if we don't really have anything in common, I don't see it working out in the long run, he doesn't treat me as well as he should, he can't really take care of himself, and I'm too busy to commit time to anyone right now.

He's one of my good friends though! And I love all of his friends.

Plus, he's never been particularly mean to me.

I want to breakup but I definitely don't want to hurt his feelings! Or make it seem like it's coming out of nowhere.

I've never broken up with anyone before. Please help!

- I was dating Sam, who stopped talking to me and got really shady towards the end of the summer.

- Chris asked me on a date when we got back to school & I said no because I didn't want to homie hop.

- Had lunch with Chris who told me he asked Sam if we could go out and Sam said yes and had another girl.

- I hook up with Chris.

- Sam calls next day and says how much he misses me & wants to hang out.

- I hook up with Chris and Josh finds out.

Should I be expecting to get yelled at soon? I almost feel as if I'm in the middle of some big joke between the boys. I don't understand Chris for asking his best friends ex out and I don't understand Sam's timing. I just feel like it's going to end badly for everyone.

& I know I brought this upon myself, but my intentions really weren't bad! Somebody should please translate the mind of a man for me!

I've been hooking up with this guy for the past like 4 months and we spend pretty much every day together. Since it's summer break from school, he's been calling every day and planning when to see each other.

For the most part, things have been good.

Then one day! we talked about dating when we got back to school and how he liked me and blahblah,

& the next morning, his status on facebook was

"Every girl I date is younger than me. I need to find a nice older girl."

And he hasn't called for like a week.

WHY!?

It's driving me crazy. I haven't called.. I don't even want to deal with him anymore.

I'm moving into this house and it gets its heat from a wood stove which makes absolutely everything in the house smell like campfire.

Literally, if you go inside the house for 5 minutes, all of your clothes and your hair will smell like campfire for the rest of the day.

I was planning on leaving open all the doors and windows for a while and stopping the use of the wood stove.

Is there any way that I could get rid of the smell on everything?

I met this guy at a party a couple months ago and immediately slept with him, which I know is already a bad start. But since then we've become really good friends and hang out all the time.

So we were making out last night and he said he doesn't want me hooking up with other people. He said he doesn't want me sleeping with anyone else, or he couldn't sleep with me anymore, and that he wouldn't sleep with anyone else either.

What does this mean?

A couple weeks ago, I met this guy and we drunkenly slept together. But we had a breakfast date this morning and he texts me almost every day.

I kindof thought I screwed up by going so fast with him, but is there any possibility of a relationship later? & If we hang out again, am I expected to sleep with him again?

Friday night I went to my friends birthday party and afterward I told him I didn't want to hang out because I was super tired and drunk, so he said that I was flaky and he was done.

& then he deleted me off Facebook.. wtfff

So on Saturday, I apologized and we were going to hang out that night,

but he went and got drunk with his guy friends at the bar and texted me at like 2 AM asking if I was going to come over. I was kindof annoyed that I had been waiting for him for so long so I didn't text him back immediately, and like ten minutes later he called me flaky again and said he was done.

Then I asked what his problem was and said I'd been waiting around for him all day

& he cussed at me and I never wrote him back.

Like, I understand he was drunk, but he hasn't tried to make it better today.

I'm going to Nicaragua for Christmas in a few days and he's moving to Portland while I'm gone, so I was expecting it to be a really sad goodbye, ya know? We're not trying to have a long term relationship. We were just going to stay friends and maybe something would happen later?

I just don't understand why he's picking all these fights now, or what I should say to him before I leave, or if I should be apologizing for something.

I don't know what to do! It's making me really sad that we're about to leave on bad terms.
