  • Where do you go with a good idea?

Where can someone with a good idea to solve water/power/ecological issues go with their idea?

I am not interested in the money (although I would not turn it down) I am a designer with a few good ideas but everywhere I try to contact I just get a form letter in return. What philanthropist groups actually have philanthropists answer email?

When the BP spill occurred I tried everything to give away a solution. I wrote BP the governor of LA,Miss,Ala and Fl and got form letters. I even tried Kevin Costner and his agent. It is like people get so many dumb ideas that every idea is dumb by default. Please understand I have never even been able to give the idea. I am brushed off before I have a chance

  • Mass spectrometry question?

I want to do a chemical analysis on a large number of samples. What type of equipment would I need to run these tests? Is it a long operation to do a Mass spectrometry test? Can the testing be done by someone with little training? Would the set up be simple if the samples were all the same material and I was looking for the level of the same compound in each? I am no chemist so use simple terms please LOL

  • How can Christmas day be Christ's birthday?

If he was born on dec 25 why does the calender start 6 days later? Doesnt that mean that the year he was born has 6 days on a BC calender that should be on an AD? And shouldnt Christmas eve be New Years eve? Either the calender is off by 6 days or we have his Bday wrong. And i know i would be pissed if everyone missed my birthday by a week for 2000 years

  • what qualifies a sport for the Olympics?

It seems to me that there are a lot of sports that are not in the Olympics that should be and others that shouldn't. They have snowboarding but not skateboarding, bobsled but not street luge, and synchronized swimming which belongs in more of a dance competition. What is the process for acceptance to the Olympics? Even the equestrian competition shouldn't be there in my opinion without auto racing (drifting) horses don't deserve gold medals anymore then the cars do.

  • Keep my dog from attacking me?

I live with my girlfriend and her mom has a dog that she got when it was 6 months old. It is fun and friendly with me most of the time. When my girlfriends mom is around and i walk into the room the dog comes unglued and charges me barking and fangs showing. It is obviously protecting her but nothing anyone does can get it to stop. This aggression has gotten worse as time has gone on. He now gets right up to me snapping at my legs. It is a big dog (Lab/poodle)and quite scary. I am very good with animals and most dogs love me. I have been here since before the dog came and i don't abuse it. I have tried everything from being the one to feed it and play with it to using a paper to try to dicipline it ...it ate the paper so i stopped that... HELP ME
