If there were no humans currently on Earth, would the climate be warming up at present?

I just saw the movie "The Martian" starring Matt Damon. It was great. They pronounced this crater as "Skaparelli" but I thought it was "Shaparelli". Which is correct?
8 AnswersAstronomy & Space6 years agoWhat is this vine? It grows all over my property and is generally quite a pest. It seems to be a member of the grape family?
It has tendrils like grapes, and flower clusters and berries like grapes, but the leaves are totally different from grapes.

2 AnswersGarden & Landscape6 years agoFormation of black holes and thermodynamics?
If nothing can escape from a black hole, I can't see how they can form in the first place. When the solar system was formed, the solar system would never have contracted into a sun and planets without radiating huge amounts of heat into empty space. If a black hole can't do this then that would seem to halt its contraction, or at least convert its contraction into an infinite asymtote such as 1/x goes to zero as x goes to infinity. Any thoughts?
