My daughter is biracial and her hair is getting a little more difficult to manage. I am not experienced with ethnic hair and I have questions. I came across the process of pressing hair, is that okay to do on a toddler (2.5)? I notice a lot of african american kids have their hair smoothed back and smoothed down in a braid..is that pressed hair? I always wondered how their pony tails and braids stayed so smoothed down...I can never seem to get it like that without the frizz. If pressing is okay to do, any products you can recommend?

she is almost 2 yrs old, they have been there for over a month, two on one side of her neck below the ear, and one on the other side. Two of them have gone down, but there is still one that is pretty large and doesn't seem to be getting smaller (a little bigger than a peanut). The dr said it could be swollen lymph nodes and wants to re-check her in about 3 mos. Until then, I am freaking out!!! Any one have a similiar experience......advice?

She has mild exzema and a lil rash behind her neck....and the usual patchy dry skin.

I bought a Big Pony shirt for a little boy there and it was a great price. My Husband wants one as well....I do not want to spend $100. Anyone seen them there lately? I know this question has already been posted by others..but I would like a current answer....

I am ordering a few pieces of yard art (you know the holiday wood cut outs for the yard) and I was just wondering how much it costs for the plywood. I understand if varies depending on the type, but I imagine for yard art it would be a lower grade. Any ideas on cost ?

So the Dr. confirmed my pregnancy and when I went to get the ultrasound there was the womb and yolk sac...no heartbeat. They did blood work and my hormone numbers were high, the shape of the sac was perfect and size was perfect. I just had a healthy baby girl and have no health issues (that I know about). I had a second ultrasound, same results. I have to go back tuesday to check one last time for a heartbeat and if its not there....I officially miscarried. ......anyone have a similiar experience...what was the outcome? : (

I heard it is ok to only wash once a week. Is that true? Supposedly it is to lock in the natural oils...? yeay or nay?

I am thinking about signing my little one (1-1/2) up for a spanish play class where they sing songs and dance while learning spanish. Her babysitter speaks it to her a little and I think this class could help reinforce the language to her. Not to mention the social skills she could take from it as well. I also plan on making it a recurring class, like once a year (12 classes). I guess my question is, would she learn any spanish?

I know she can get in free, but would she be scared of all the noise and crowds? She loves animals, but I can't help but think she will be nervous or scared. Any experiences, suggestions, advice? Thanks. Oh and it will cost my Husband and I $30 + tax total to go.

Has anyone ever ordered Tuttie Colored Contacts online? If so what was your experience with them? I have dark eyes and I am not sure f they will work.

My one year old has had skin issues her whole life. She is dark skinned so no discoloration, but several dry patches all over her body. They come and go and you can't really feel them but you can see them in the sunlight. They dont look like they bother her but I would like to know if anyone has had any similarities in their child? Any suggestions? We have switched detergents several times, changed soaps, lotions....etc. At least she doesnt look irritated...

I used up the trial pass and I am not sure I will go enough to the gym to pay for a membership. My mother has one and she said they didn't take a photo of her so how would they know if I was her or not? You think I could get by using her membership pass? ..at least until I decide if I go frequent enough to purchase one...

I recently introduced my almost one year old to whole milk. Since then, along with trying new foods, we have noticed she has been really constipated. Since she has been eating trying new "people" foods foe while now, I can't help but blame the milk for the constipation. Is that possible?

sucks to be you. I have one and everyone is looking at me like I am invested and diseased. I have been to the doctor and I am fine. I had to return to work because I had been out for 5 days (including weekend). I am coughing a little because it is clearing out. I have my own big office with a door and i am staying away from everyone. Why is everyone treating me like the evil step child....anyone else sick and being treated like they have the swine flu?

My mom is trying to make a little extra money so she offered to clean my entire home (3br/3baths/2 story w game room). She is going to do basic maid service: (floors, toilets, tidy up, linens, window ledges, counters,,). What is a fair price to charge her?

I have a really good job right now with a lot of room for advancement (oil & gas industry). I don't feel content b/c I want to be making a difference and helping people and I don't at this job (other than indirectly providing oil). Anyway, I was considering becoming a teacher. I looooove children, money is not really a huge issue, and the schedule sounds pretty good (summers off). I am scared to leave my job now and pursue teaching and end up not liking it. To me subbing does not really give you an experience of teaching b/c the reward happens over the school year. Any advice, suggestions, thoughts, opinions? And I have a little one, does summers off help balance family life?

I was just wondering about what life is like as an elem school teacher? What type of schedule? Are you working late everyday? Is it worth it to you? Just what are your experiences.

My two managers are best friends(like they even vacation together!). I am right under them so I cover for them when they are gone. So I landed this really great job that looked like I had plenty of room for advancement….turns out not so much! My managers look out for each other’s best interests and keep me out the loop. One of the managers barely started a year before me but the manager took her under her wing and taught her everything and took her to all the meetings to get chummy with all our clients. Today we got called to a company to literally pull a few files…my two managers are going together to PULL A FILE. I wasn’t even invited to do that! Anyway, my question is, should I look for another job? In this economy? Does this happen everywhere? This is my first professional job in the corporate world. I do also get paid pretty well…but I am degreed and I feel like I could make more $ and get my foot in elsewhere. Thought? Opinions? Suggestions? Oh I don’t feel like I can say anything to anyone because it is like a personal attack…I think anyway.

It hurts to the touch, I am bloated and it hurts to stand straight and walk. It is onmy upper right side....do I go to the doctor or urgent care? I do not have a doctor so I couldnt just call and ask her..plus it is 6 am...?
