Mr Sarcastic
Working for myself as a mechanic and body repair tech, I have a lot of knowledge about cars and how they work, not to mention that it's my hobby too. I'm also into engined R/C cars, I love cats, I'm trained as a Computer Technician as well. I have some rather strong opinions about things political and I have a strong yearning to leave the UK because I've had enough of the hypocritical and illogically stupid way that it is run by the incumbant New Labour government.
Why does the SNP want to get Trident out of Scotland so badly?
6 AnswersMilitary6 years agoCats and flying insect sprays?
Should you get your cat out of a room where you are about to kill a wasp using a cypermethrin spray? I know permethrin is highly toxic to cats and obviously cypermethrin is a derivative of it, but can it harm your cat if he were to breathe it in?
1 AnswerCats7 years agoDVLA Roadside Tax Check ANPR car?
This morning, I was driving my classic car to a pre-arranged MOT appointment, and during my journey I came across the DVLA car at the side of the road, now whilst I was not doing anything illegal by driving my car to a pre-arranged MOT appointment without road tax, how does that go with the DVLA? Should I still expect to see something land on my doormat, or will they actually grow a brain and cross reference my number plate with the MOT database, on which they will find it passed an hour after I drove past them, thus vindicating me for being on the road at that time without being actually taxed? Anybody experienced this before?
3 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation7 years agoWhat's up with nature all of a sudden?
I have been noticing since late September how slow nature is being, even now in Mid November there are still a lot of leaves on the trees and there are still Wasps and Bluebottles flying around, the temperatures even although in the last couple of weeks have been a bit colder, have been mostly mild, especially for Scotland, 13c in late October is not unheard of but rare, I was just wondering what is happening, especially the thing with the Wasps, why are they still around now, they're usually all dead or hibernating by mid October at the latest, I hate them and I just want them to go, only yesterday I was confronted in my garage by this huge wasp with yellow legs, I really thought they'd have been away by now!
2 AnswersEarth Sciences & Geology8 years agoCalling all dream interpreters, can you analyse this?
I keep getting a dream about the house I used to live in, I loved that house and my family and I were forced to move because of neighbours harrasing us, I was 17 at the time, I'm 34 now, I grew up in that house, I was 4 when we moved there, probably I've just answered my own question, but I wondered if anyone could tell me what it all means, what, if anything, does it mean psychologically? The dreams are so vivid, and the actual dream usually is within the context that we've moved back to the house and the neighbour that was causing the bother has gone, no longer lives there, and everything is good again, sometimes it feels very real, the house I actually live in appears in the dream as well, but it's empty because we've moved out, sometimes when I wake up from it, I weep slightly, or at the very least it leaves me feeling upset. I've got ideas about what it could mean, but I'd like to see what somebody else makes of it.
1 AnswerDream Interpretation8 years agoHave the government..............?
deliberately tried to 'dumb down' the general public, especially the previous Labour government? You may think 'what rubbish', but hear me out, the reason for doing such a thing would be so that the public will not question things that the government do, so that they can get away with more without anybody becoming suspicious or sussing out what they are up to, and even if they did, it could be explained with waffle and lies designed to deliberately bamboozle people whom they have already dis-informed or 'dumbed down'. I realise in the most part it hasn't worked, but I can't help but think they tried to do it, and it makes me angry. What do you think??
5 AnswersGovernment8 years agoThe BBC is 90 this year!?
The BBC was established in 1922, making this it's 90th anniversary this year, yet there appears to be no mention of this or celebrations of it, they marked the 60th anniversary in 1982, so why not now?
2 AnswersMedia & Journalism9 years agoBright future for libya?
Everybody in the news is saying that now that Libya is free of Col. Gaddafi that it's going to be a better place with a golden future, but what my question is, is it really? Is it going to be a free country with a democracy with opportunities and no more oppression, or is it going to descend into another islamic state of chaos where they've got an imam or another Ayatollah keeping them down and rebel muslims going about terrorising everybody, like has been reported to have been happening in Iraq, I'd like to believe that Libya is now truly free and I believe that there is a wind of change that is sweeping through the middle east and more countries that have despotic regimes will follow suit and rise up to change their countries. I don't know, what do you think?

It's a real question, do Americans hate Scots people and if so, why? I want real answers, this is not a free-for-all to get fired into us.
9 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups10 years agoA link with chernobyl?
When the chernobyl reactor went into meltdown in 1986, I was 7 years old, and I know for fact that some of the radiation found it's way to Scotland where I live and did at the time, I also remember at the time that you were advised not to eat any meat or drink milk for a period because of the risk that some of the radiation got onto livestock grazing in the fields. Radiation can go for the thyroid gland and it can have an effect on young children, which I was at the time, it is also the time I started to put an uncontrollable amount of weight on, I was slim up until 1986 then I started to put weight on and it has never came back off again no matter what I try, so I was wondering if maybe I had been contaminated in this way?
2 AnswersOther - General Health Care1 decade agoWhy has Britain become so chavvy/neddy?
I become consistently depressed at the sight of Britain nowadays, chavs in tracksuits dragging their knuckles everywhere, spawning miniature versions of themselves and allowing them to run riot, TV programmes that are made purely for chavs, supermarkets full of ignorant people pushing their way past you, and most of all chavs who aquire money from somewhere moving into private houses and then turning respectable quiet private streets into the scum laden council estate hellholes from whence they came, you shouldn't have to dread a for sale sign going up, for fear of what might move in. I know this might sound snobbish, I know most people nowadays haven't got two ha'pennys to rub together now, but theres really no excuse for these ignorant, selfish people to inflict their lifes and lifestyles on other people who aren't even remotely interested in them or what they do. any thoughts on how we got from respectable to reprobates? I've a few but I want to know what you think. And please, no abuse!

7 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoWhy do women think it's good to act hard?
I like a woman to be a woman, nice, sweet and feminine, not a woman trying to be a man or acting hard because they think it's endearing or it makes them look like they're coping being the single independent type, where does this come from, and why do they think this is good? Not ALL men are chauvanistic pigs, some need to be coupled with a woman, I know that being gay seems to be the be all and end all these days, but there are some that are not and whats more totally against it!
4 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoI'm getting fed up with?
People that I meet either assuming or wondering if I'm gay or not, for the record I'm not gay, never have been, never will be, other men do nothing for me, I love women although I rarely get the eye back, what do you think I should do? How do I stop people thinking this about me without making people more suspicious or that I'm hiding something, I do have a big self confidence problem in general but I'm totally secure in the knowledge that I'm 100% hetrosexual and straight.

I don't and never thought that the iraq war was right, nor did quite a lot of people, especially those families who had brave people who were sent out there on what I believe to be nothing more than a political game started by two egotistical maniacs, a lot of people have died needlessly over the iraq war yet both Brown and Blair STILL insist that they were right. So my question really is, given that labour had caught up with the tories in the opinion polls and it is looking like Labour might just slip back into power at the general election with a miniscule majority, will you, if you were, still vote for Gordon Brown and the Labour party or do you think that this is the final nail in their coffin and that Labour are going down now?

What's happening, why are children being born nowadays being left to their own devices to develop like this, it would appear that theres a generation of potential murderers and very very violent people coming up and I just wonder who is going to stop them? I can't really think of anyone in a position of power that has either the gumption or is even bothered about this or what is happening, between this and the rise of Islam, I think Britain is looking more at an end now than ever before, what do you think?
10 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoThe Climate Talks, what do you think?
Frankly I think it is probably the biggest load of nonsense (I'm being polite here!) I've seen in a long time, where do these politicians get off thinking that they can control everything with legislation, even nature??? OK I'd admit that perhaps we contribute a tiny about to global emissions, it's nowhere near as much as these environutters would have you believe, and the most ridiculous thing of all in this farce is that they think they can control the temperature of the planet?? Sorry boys, thats natures job! I know how they intend to do it, by cutting Co2, you know the dreaded poisonous gas that occurs naturally on the planet with or without cars, planes and power stations, and makes your Coca-Cola fizzy, but again that's ridiculous, firstly because it's not Co2 alone that's causing the supposed problem, secondly, Volcanoes and other natural events on the planet pump more Co2 into the air than the entirety of Britain would in a year. My question is do you agree that all of this climate stuff is the biggest load of codswallop (being polite again!) that has been nothing but a waste of time, money (which Britain doesn't have a great deal of at the minute), and, well, CO2, and not only that a rather neat way of taxing us even more for nothing, and I think it really is for nothing! Watch this space, 10 years from now, all of this will be largely forgotten about, they'll have moved onto something else to guilt trip us with.
One last thing, I don't want a load of econutter amateur environmentalists on here telling me what a bad person I'am for being a " Global Warming Denier", I don't believe it exists, so how can I deny anything?
