  • Regarding Scottish Legend / Mystical Beings?

Growing up in a large family of deep Scottish heritage, folklore and legends were and still are a large part of family conversations. I have always thought they were just that... stories. I have lived in Oklahoma most of my life, and am familiar with pretty much all the animals and other "creatures" believed to live around here. So... I saw something I could not identify and could not explain, it looked right at me then vanished into mist before my eyes, I am left in a quandary. I researched my family books and found this being... one of the Ce Sith hounds. How do I know if what I saw was REALLY what I saw, and not a figment of my imagination? I don't drink as a rule, don't do drugs and wasn't thinking about anything in particular at the time, was just mowing my lawn.

  • Live trap for moles?

I have been invaded by a voracious mole. I don't want to hurt or kill him. I want to catch the critter and haul him to the country where he can live in peace and prosperity. Does anyone know of a live trap for moles that really works, and maybe a link that I could order one? Don't be mean and tell me to get my shotgun, I'm not gonna kill him.

  • The "Cat Genie," does anyone have one? What do you think about it?

With six house cats, we're considering getting a Cat Genie. (www.22catgenie.com) The other electric ones just haven't worked as well as promised, and ended up being more work than the regular "hand operated" ones. If you have a Cat Genie, or know someone who does, I'd really appreciate the feedback on the product. Thanks a bunch!

  • How can I give a newly immigrated Mexican boy something without offending?

A first generation immigrant Mexican family has moved into my neighborhood. Mom and Dad speak almost no English, and their 12 year old son speaks very little. Their financial situation doesn't allow for things like bookbags for the kids or a coat for Mom. My family has so much extra stuff, including coats never worn and bookbags never carried. I take their kids to school everyday with all the other kids I take, and Mom makes us homemade tamales. They are a lovely family, and even though we have a language barrier, we've managed to find ways to communicate and I don't want to damage this new relationship between our families. How can I give them things without offending them? I'm sure their Mexican Pride is just as great as my Southern Pride and I'd rather give people I know things they can use rather than just take them to the Sally. Any help? Thanks.

  • Don't you just love teenagers?

All the drama, makeup, hair, clothes, chores left undone, shoes all over, dents in your car, late night phone calls, keeping up with the dating thing, odd lingo lanugage and the utter defiance they have brought to our lives... I know I absolutely could not live without all this chaos, lol. Really, teenagers are great, don't you think?

  • Do you play board games with your toddlers?

And don't you hate it when they win and you weren't trying to lose? I ALWAYS get the long slide thing in Chutes and Ladders and have to go back to the beginning, and I generally get stuck in the muck in Candyland. Whipped the pants off me she did.

  • What to do... what to do? Kat number 8...?

My family has seven house katz. Our house is very clean, the litter boxes are kept scooped, our katz are bright eyed and bushy tailed, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, they've all come from various abusive and or torture situations. They are happy and well cared for. So, this little kitten was tossed out of a car on the Interstate, broken leg, skinned up and terrified, so OF COURSE, the shelter called us to see if we have room for one more. Finances aren't the issue, nor is time. He's just a schmoopie, bony little thing, all long hair and whiskers. We can't foster anymore because we end up becoming attached. If we keep this kat, will that make us hoarders or just big hearted people? And do we really NEED 8 katz, or do the 8 katz need us? What would you do?

  • C'mon all you toddler parents... admit it?

Do you ever find yourself, driving down the street, shopping, cleaning house or just doing whatever... singing the title song to Spongebob or The Wonderpets or Dora and Diego... and not realizing it?

  • Moms with toddlers...?

Other than the usual things, what's in your purse? I have a Dora shoe, a plastic chicken leg, one pink glitter flipflip size 4, a fuzzy gummy bear vitamin and some kitty kibble. (can't explain that one.) What's in yours that you KNOW you did not put there?
