Room Heater Vent.. More heat...?
I guess I'm one of those lucky guys to have the whole basement to myself, accept in Canada, winters are horribly cold, and my basement is FREEZING Cold.. The problem is there is only 1 vent coming to my room from the furnace.
My Question - Short of running another vent from the furnace, is there anyway I can increase the output of heat/air?
(I don't want to get a space-heater, too expensive on electricity)... Any other options?
Thanks in advance
9 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoHyundai Accent..Wont change to last gear.?
I have a 2000 Accent.. Automatic.
Lately, it has stopped shifting into the final gear. It will shift into 3rd, at around 60, and then stay in 3rd no matter how much gas i give it. I tried to engage the Overdrive but it doesn't turn on.
Here's the weird thing. If i start driving the car in Drive2, and then pop it into Drive, it shifts into 4th as normal, and I am able to turn the Overdrive on and off.
Could anyone help me diagnose what's going on.. and if it's something small that i can fix, or if it's a major problem.
Thanks.
1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoHow to rough up hemmed pants?
I bought a pair of jeans and had them hemmed. The problem is that the hemmed parts look awkward. I want to give them the slightly worn, rugged look the rest of the pants have. I was thinking about rubbing the hemmed bottom on concrete, or maybe with a nail file, just a little bit to get the rugged/used look..
Just wondering how they do it while manufacturing them, or if anyone knows any other tricks to accomplish this?
Thanks in advance..
1 AnswerOther - Beauty & Style1 decade agoFix - Computer Chair - Glue or Nails or...(Other options)?
A few months ago, I picked up a computer chair. It was for free, the material and everything are in perfect condition, accept that the legs at the bottom were broken. Out of 5, 2 had snapped. I'm not sure how someone managed to do that, but they are.
From Home-Depot, I bought a 2-part epoxy (The max strength i could get) to try to see if i could glue them together, it was meant to glue patio furniture. It didn't worked.. They broke even with a little weight, and i followed the instrutions perfectly.
Both breaks are half way between the wheel and the stem of the chair.
Does anyone had any ideas where I could find either a replacement or try to mend them back together. The rest of the chair is in TOP shape, so I'd hate to just junk it.
Any idea.. Please share.
This is not the chair, but very very similar..
