So, I was crossing a road during school rush hour, which has long sweeping corners. Despite walking quite a long way up, my view was blocked by two vans because the traffic was piling up at the junction. However, rather than wait, (which is what I should have done), I decided to cross anyway and didn't see the car that was coming around the corner in the opposite direction.

This happened today and while I am in shock, I am lucky to be alive. I was just wondering, has anyone else experienced a similar situation to this and if so, how did you recover from it?

The point I'm trying to make and the moral behind this story is to always wait, even if it is for five minutes until you know it's safe to cross the road and can see the traffic flowing from both directions.

Long story short, El Capitan has provided me with nothing but bugs. I've just had to back all of my work up onto an external harddrive and reinstall El Capitan in recovery mode. Everything is now running mostly okay, except that Safari and Chrome keep crashing. I have noticed that this mainly seems to happen whenever I have the power cable plugged into my laptop. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? If so, how did you get it resolved?

Last week I upgraded from Mountain Lion to El Capitan. After restarting the first time after installation, everything was running fine. However, after rebooting because of being unable to move the cursor, my macbook is now running really slowly, with programs such as Chrome, Creative Cloud and Cinema 4D crashing. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, how did you resolve it? Thank you.

Yesterday evening, I unplugged my headphones from my laptop, (macbook pro), only to realise that my headphone jack has snapped off and is now stuck inside. Now, the sound on my laptop only works if the same headphones are plugged in, with me twisting the wire.

I have looked into ways of fixing this, in which I have tried using a paper clip, the end of a cotton wool bud and the end of my pen cartridge to try and get it out. So far, nothing has worked. There have been suggestions to use superglue on the end of the cotton wool bud to get the headphone jack out, but I didn't want to risk this with my laptop. As a result, I'm looking into the warranty, to see if I can get this repaired, but I understand that this could take a few weeks.

So, my questions are:

1. Would you say this is repairable, without needing to get the laptop replaced?

2. Has this happened to you and if so, how did you resolve it?

I've just recently purchased Two Door Cinema Club's new album, 'Beacon.' My favourite track on this is 'The World is Watching' featuring Valentina. Does anyone know what Valentina's last name is? I want to check out some of her music but can't seem to find it.

Wrong time of year, I know, but I need this for my schoolwork. Apart from 'Silent Night,' what other Christmas songs do you think are creepy, and what part of the lyrics to this song do you think are the most creepy?

Lately, I have been feeling really nostalgic and wishing I could go back to when I was younger; when I had nothing to worry about, as well as thinking about all of the good memories I had when I was younger and how I wish I could go back in time to them. At the age of 16, I have also been worried and even depressed at times about what the future has in store for me, where I'm finding it difficult to think of all the positives my future has in store. Has anyone felt this way and if so, what did you do about it?

I also keep getting a window which pops up, explaining something about a corrupt file. Since then, I did a full virus scan of the laptop just in case if the corrupt file was something to do with a virus, but I am still having problems. For example: As well as tabs sometimes closing when I press the 'w' key, Google Chrome doesn't allow me to type anything in, whenever this problem keeps reoccurring. I have also tried removing Google Chrome and reinstalling it, but the same thing still keeps on happening.
