I have been looking at some up scale watches, and I keep seeing Flip-up Crown protector being touted. This means nothing to me, I have seen them on watches for the blind, but why would you normally need a Flip-up Crown Protector?

Can we have discourse and disagreement without name calling and vitriol.

I see it simply:

Democrats want to give everyone a fish.

Republicans want to teach everyone to fish.

its over simplified and there are merits to both, but which is better?

I know I have seen her before, but I can not place her.

And is she considered a good singer? Because she sounded about as good as Rosanne Bar, when she sang the anthem.

I have a broken Nikon N2002, with 3 good lenses. Does anyone know if I could use these old lenses on a new Nikon Digital SLR Body? I am really interested i getting back into photography, and if I could save some money by using my old lenses it would help.

How can we blame Democrats for Illegal immigration when it is Republicans that keep introducing bills to open our borders.

Senator Kay Baily Hutchison from Texas is the latest in a long line of Republicans opening our borders, by now introducing into the 'Budget' Bill a gutting of the 'Secure Borders Act'.

I am disgusted and will not vote for anyone who approved this bill. even if that means I have to vote Dem.

I recently asked if Americans still believed in the Pledge of Allegiance. Many said they did at one time, others say no outright. Others say they would like to.

So I ask should we strive to uphold the ideals of the pledge, or is it an antiquated idea that should be laid to rest?

We as Americans are more divided today then we have been in many years. You can blame whomever you want, I am not interested in who is the divider.

I just want to know if we can still agree to pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God(remove if you must), indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

I play pool regularly with a friend here at work, I used to just randomly grab the chalk and chalk my stick all the time, but I could discern no real purpose to this so I stopped and my game does not seem to have suffered. So what is the real purpose of chalking your cue stick?

If you are driving down the interstate and a highway sign says that it is 257 miles to San Francisco. How do they measure this distance when there are a dozen different ways to get to SF, some shorter, some longer? Is it an average? And to where are they measuring? To the city limit or to the center of the city or maybe it is to the first exit off the highway?

With all the different brands of gasoline vying for our business, each stating there brand is the best and using dubious proclamations to convince us these statements are true. Such as 'Every car of NASCAR uses our gas therefore it must be best', (we didn't pay them anything to use our gas! no really! not a penny!). Is Gas, Gas? Should you just find the lowest price and go with that? Or do the various additives make any real difference in your vehicle performance?
