  • What do you make eat/make for dinner on a regular basis?

I'm trying to find some new things to make for dinner for myself and my husband. I'm not so concerned about healthy as much as I am about quick, cheap and easy clean up. I usually make plain old spaghetti, BLTs, salads, steamed broccoli, boiled soy beans, really simple stuff, (mostly we just snack, to be honest. Usually no real meals).

I make a lot of the same thing from week to week, and with me working 40+ hours a week and my husband being military we don't really have a lot of time.

So, any suggestions? I need quick, easy and preferably tasty ideas. Something I can make the night before, throw it in the fridge over-night and pop in the oven when it's time would be REALLY nice.

    Thanks!

  • What are AAFES job grades?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the AAFES (Army Air Force Exchange Services for you non-military types) job grades actually mean?

An entry level at an AAFES Taco Bell is a grade 2 job, but a center cashier job at the BX is a grade 1 job. So what exactly does that mean?

I've had AAFES jobs before, I just never wondered about it until now.

  • What made you believe in God?

I'm not asking people who were raised by religious parents in a religious homes and believed since you were a wee child. I am asking people who had no outside influence. People who once didn't believe in a higher power, or people who converted from one religion to another, and even "born-agains". Of course, anyone can answer, but these are the people this question is geared towards.

So, what made you change your mind about God?

  • If not believing in God gets you sent to Hell?

Why would God allow people to not believe? I understand that God is said to given us freewill, but I didn't choose to not believe in him.

When it comes to the paranormal and religion, I don't think you CAN choose what you believe. The way I see it, you can pick your faith, but not what you truly believe in you heart. Either you believe in Bigfoot, or you don't. Either you believe in ghosts, or you don't. Either you believe in God, or you don't.

Some people claim that they've seen ghosts or Bigfoot, or that God has spoken to them (they may have, I'm not here to judge anyone) and that experience led them to believe. If God were to shake my hand one day, even then I may not be able to believe it.

So, why would God allow me to be incapable of acknowledging his existence (assuming he does in fact, exist)?

Is there anywhere that I can buy it in the U.S. other than having to order it?

  • German gas station sandwiches?

I just recently moved back to the states after living 11 years in Rheinland Pfalz, Germany. And of all the delicious food I ate in my time there, the thing I crave most often are these sandwiches! They were usually sold pre-made at big gas stations/rest areas along the autobahn.

They usually had either meat (like a hard salami) and/or cheese (butterkäse mostly), leaf lettuce, tomato cucumber and hard-boiled eggs on a crusty, baguette type bread. But the thing that brought it all together was the herb and salat mayonnaise spread, and try as I might, I CANNOT replicate it.

The closest I can get is a 2-1 ratio of mayo to miracle whip, dried dill and some parsley.

Can anyone help me out, or at least tell me that I'm not the only person here that knows of and craves these sandwiches?

  • Chewy or crispy bacon?

I prefer crispy, but usually end up burning it in my attempt to make it crispy, so I can settle for chewy. But! When it comes to BLTs, I'll take burnt over chewy any day!

    How 'bout you?

  • Does anyone play Monster Hunter Tri?

online anymore? I bought the game quite a while ago, watched my husband play it for a while, but I just now started playing it myself. I've read that there are certain things you can only gather during online play. I want to try it, but I don't want to be all alone out there in that big, scary, monster-infested world. So, does anyone still play online, or has all the excitement gone?

Also, can anyone give me any advice on how not to get smashed by Rathian while trying to capture the Qurupeco? I'm new to the MS series, so please, dumb down your answers so I can understand them.

    Thanks!

  • Is there anyone here in R/S that actually agrees?

With the teachings of the Westborough Baptist Church?

With all the things that divide the people who frequent R/S, this could be the one thing we can all agree on.

  • Thick or thin beef patties?

Which do you prefer for a ham/cheeseburger. Two thin patties are allowed in this debate as the equivalent of one thick.

  • Do you think that we, the people, can convince...?

President Barack Obama to sport a moustache during the month of March for Testicular Cancer Awareness Month? If I could find out how to send him a letter or email that would get to HIM and he would actually read, I would ask him to. Plus, the last American president to sport a moustache was William Howard Taft back in 1913. I think it's about time, don't you?

  • To The Christians and Atheists Alike?

Atheists, does it really bother you that some people believe in a higher power? Theists, does it really bother you that some people don't?

Where did this great divide here on Yahoo Answers come from? Or, is it just the "Invisible sky fairy" and the "You filthy sinner" remarks that get to you?

Do any father-son activities up there in heaven? Do the two ever have a catch or restore old cars together? I think it would be nice if they did.

  • Are you judged twice?

From what I understand, Christians believe that when you die, you will be judged by God and He will decide if you are worthy of getting into heaven. So, whats this, "He will come again to judge the living and the dead" stuff? Are those who died previous to the second coming of Christ judged twice by God?

  • Do you believe in God? Why or why not?

I'm not looking for answers like, "He is the one true Creator", or "God isn't real lulz!". I shall lead by example:

I myself do not believe in a god. I cannot accept the bible's stories. I find them to be unfathomable. The talking snake, Adam's extra rib, virgin births and the Resurrection... I can't accept all that as truth. If God's intention of this book was to make me believe, it didn't do the trick.

Also, I find science far too fascinating to believe in a higher power. I assume my feelings about quantum theory and astrophysics are probably a lot like the feelings of someone of faith during communion or a good sermon. I am overcome by an outstanding sense of joy when I think about just how wonderfully complex our universe is. I get goosebumps when I discuss the Big Bang or the subatomic composition of the Earth. And I am giddy as a schoolgirl when I listen to Neil deGrasse Tyson talk about dwarf galaxies or exploding stars.

To be honest, I would be more than a little disappointed if it turned out that there WAS a god. If the answer to everything was simply, "Because God made it so". Where's the wonder and the awe in that?

Yes. In this great amazing, universe of ours, there has got to be something more than God.

  • Is lust always considered a sin?

Christians, all these questions about lust made me think of my own.

Do you consider it a sin for me to lust after my husband? Or just people other than my husband, therefor making it adultery?

I do not believe in god or any other deity, I'm merely curious about what you think God thinks about it.

  • Chirstians, what do you think?

I know my opinion and the opinions of my friends, (both believers and non-believers), but I want to know yours.

I am an atheist. Not the rude, "You're stupid because you believe in God" kind of atheist, I simply do not think that there is a higher power in control of my life. As far as I can tell, I am no better or worse of a person than any of my religious friends and neighbors. I am not a morally corrupt person, I don't lie, cheat or steal. I haven't killed anyone, I honor my parents... I think God would think I'm an okay person if it weren't for that "Beleiveth in Me" stuff.

Now, the questions. Simply because I don't believe in God, does that alone, in your opinion, make me a bad person? Could you and I have a friendship? If we could be friends, would you be sad knowing that, no matter how good and selfless of a person I was, I would never make it into heaven?

  • Daddy Smelly Eggs? Anyone know?

The pickled eggs made with beets and beet juice that give them that characteristic purple color... MY family always called the "Daddy Smelly Eggs". Well, I wanted to make them so, I searched google for Daddy Smelly Eggs, and not a single thing popped up. I asked my husband if he's ever heard them called that, he said he has not.

So the question is, has ANYONE ever called pickled eggs, "Daddy Smelly Eggs", or is it just my family? Maybe it's a regional thing, thought my husband's and my family are both from Michigan so I doubt it
