  • How to remove marks from marble window sill?

We recently remodeled our master bath. The marble window sill has marks on it where I sat bottles of hair products when I used curtains. I now have Roman Shades and would like to remove these marks/rings. Any help is appreciated.

  • How to remove food stain from dogs face?

My niece has moved in with us and her little dog has stolen our hearts. She is a little Lhasa Poo and 11 pounds of love. She is fed dry dog food with wet food mixed in and she loves it.

The problem is the hair around her mouth is stained from the dry food and it really is not pleasant to look at. Is there any shampoo product that I can buy to remove this? She is given a weekly bath however this does not come off.

  • Bridal Shower Refreshments?

The daughter of my friend is getting married in April and her friends are planning a Bridal Shower next month. The refreshments will be punch, cake, mints and nuts. The future mother-in-law is refusing to provide a list of people she wishes to be invited as she wants "better" food. She has stated that she wants the food trays to be from a certain gourmet store. This would cost around $400.00 for the trays alone. In addition, she wants the shower to be at her country club which charges $100.00 an hour to rent the banquet hall. These young ladies can not afford that! The shower would cost more than any gifts that would be given. Who made up the rule anyway that a meal should be served at showers?

My friend "asked" for my advice so I gave it. Ask the future groom for a list of names and set the precedent for the future with mother-in-law. Let her know that she is free to give a bridal shower and invite all her friends at her expense. Under no circumstances is she to be allowed to pay for the food at this shower. Set the rules now, she is not in charge.

My friend and her daughter are reluctant to start out this way but I explained that the future mother-in-law has to be put in her place now. It can be done with politeness and firmness.

What advice would you have given a friend in this situation?

  • Bible Contradictions Not True?

For the sake of defending the bible's flawlessness, is this a contradiction?

First of all, keep in mind that the Bible took a span of 1500 years to be written.

If I told you right now, I'm happy because my car is new and ready to go....

and then 50 years later, I told you I'm sad because my car stopped working, is that a contradiction?

No and that is how the Bible is written. People are taking verses from different times and trying to find some common link that do not link together.

Some one said that in Genesis, one verse says God is satisfied, and then God is dissatisfied in another verse, that only shows God has emotions just like you and I. That is hardly a contradiction because that is factually two opposing ideas. The Bible has ZERO contradictions. A contradiction must literally throw everyone off, and it CANNOT exist. 2+2 = 3 is a contradiction to that aspect. People are only nitpicking verses that SEEM like contradictions when you are only taking one or two scriptures and basing an entire belief on them.

  • Solicitation of donations for the families of Police Officers injured or killed in the line of duty?

In the last three weeks I have received 4 solicitations for donations for the families of Police Officers injured or killed in the line of duty. I give what I can but I question, is this needed? Are these men and women who risk their lives to protect us not being given adequate life insurance coverage?

All Law Enforcement personnel should be provided adequate insurance to support their families should some thing tragic happen.

What can we, as private citizens, do to fix this if it is a problem? I appreciate all Law Enforcement personnel and will do what I can.

  • How to cook a bottom round roast?

I have a 10lb bottom round roast to cook for a family dinner. Could this be cooked tender by putting beef broth in the bottom of the pan and placing the roast on a rack inside the pan so the roast is over the broth? I want to be able to slice the roast without it falling apart like a pot roast does.

I plan to serve the roast with homemade gravy, mashed potatoes, sugar snap peas and glazed carrots.
