i'm doing a project on my favorite book from when i was younger, and i'm having trouble remembering the name of a book that i used to love. it's driving me crazy. it was the story of a girl named heidi whose mother was mentally retarded. she left by herself to go on a journey to find where she came from. the cover was blue, and i think it had a balloon on it? i remember exactly what it looks like. it's driving me crazy! does anyone know which book i'm talking about? thanks!

i was trying to find a new tote bag that would be durable for high school. however, i don't want anything with a huge logo on it (abercrombie, hollister, american eagle, etc.). my style is really classic and simple, so i would like for my bag to be that way. my budget would be $40.00 or under.

preferably under. lol.

do any of you guys have tips on handling pressure? what helps you? i have golf tryouts starting tomorrow, and i'm nervous. whenever people watch me play, i either a) psych myself out and think too much and fail or b) turn it into energy to hit. however, that rarely works. if anyone has anything that they do that helps, do tell! thanks! :)

okay, so this is what happened in advisory the other week. we have a subsitute teacher in advisory, and he was talking about how time for parent- teacher conferences are coming up and why he's excited about them:

substitute: i'm excited for parent-teacher conferences. last year, i had an advisory with a kid who came into advisory the next day after his conference, and i said to him, "man, you didn't tell me that your mom was a babe!" the kid said "ew! my mom is NOT a babe!", and i said to him, "what? your mother is a very attractive woman!"

as if that weren't creepy enough... the substitute turns to me and said...

"do you look anything like your mother?"

i said "yea"

he goes "good" and smiled.

ew. HOW CREEPY IS THIS? he is married with 4 kids, and he has got to be in his late 50's or early 60's.

my best friend's birthday is tomorrow, and i was going to burn a cd for her with a bunch of friend songs on it. i'm going to use itunes, but i don't know how to get the songs from my library onto the cd. can anybody help me out here? :) thanks!
