How is it decided which lots would be exempt?

After the starting date for receiving retirement benefits, how long must the retired employee wait before being rehired as a part-time employee? What is the maximum number of hours that can be worked part-time in a year? What are the rules at your company?

I was reading about the siege of Paris and how first they ate the animals in the zoo and then started eating the rats, and wondered what does rat really taste like. Please no "it tastes like chicken jokes."

Why do we count thousands as one thousand, two thousand, etc., and we count hundreds as one hundred, two hundred, etc., but we don't count tens as one ten, two ten, three ten, etc.?

If the tides are caused by the moon attracting the water in the oceans, why does the ocean bulge on both the side of the earth, both the side near the moon and also on the opposite side. Shouldn't it bulge just on the side closets to the moon and be thinnest on the side away from the moon?

A child growing up in a bilingual home learns both languages. How does the brain keep the two languages separate, knowing to speak in one or the other, but not both simultaneously? Why does the brain not combine both languages together, including words of one language into the other?

I have a new painting I purchased unstretched. When I went to stretch it after a couple of weeks, I noticed some of the thick areas have started to wrinkle. Is this from waiting too long to stretch it, or from storing it flat during that time, or is it something that thick paint just does when it dries? Is there anything to be done about it now? What do I do to avoid this in the future?
