  • Is fighting fit city gym in birmingham good?

I'm 6ft and I've been getting in shape recently and I'm planning to move out into student accommodation in my third year (too late to get anywhere this year near where I want) and I was planning to join a gym and start learning to box.

If I'm any good and I am assured I am capable I would be interested in attampting amateur bouts and I will be interested in sparring regardless.

This is a gym relatively close to where I plan to move in, and near my uni so it will be ideal for putting in a couple of hours daily before heading home to study.

    So just a few questions:

    What are the facilities like?

    What are the staff like?

Do you think two hours most days (maybe an extra hour or two if I'm not too busy) is enough?

Does the gym do much Amateur stuff for guys aged 20-21 (I'll be that old when I move out)? I know they do a lot of white collar stuff, which is another thing that attracted me to the gym given I'm studying law.

  • What is there to do at butlins minehead?

I'm 18 years old and I'm going on a family holiday, at the moment I just plan to chill out for the weekend. I don't drink so don't recommend that please, I guess I like walking and general being active but not overly so.

I believe I'm going in July or August.

I used to be able to remember them in great detail for weeks but I can't even remember them for seconds when I wake up now.

  • Why do my dreams feel so much longer than they really are?

This morning for example, I woke up at 4, went to sleep about 4:15 then woke up again at about 5:00 but in my dream about half a day had passed, I can't remember the details of the dream but I think it was just a dream of daily life.

  • Why is my kdr so inconsistent?

I play quite a few fps and one thing I have noticed is that I am very inconsistent, in one match I could have a kdr of between 4-8 usually, then in the next (same conditions against the same people with my team also been the same) I will get a kdr of less than one. How can I improve my consistency and what could be the causes?

  • Which mmo should I choose to play?

Hello, I am an 18 year old college student who is (hopefully) going to university in September,. I have always loved games and I used to be able to run mmo's on my laptop but the requirements went up and my computer got old, however, I'm going to buy a desktop pc once I get to uni mainly for work but it will be able to to run most, if not all mmo's (it has a 3.7 Ghz graphics card, 2TB hard drive, 8GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 645). I have been looking around and I am considering rift, aion, guild wars 2, tera, neverwinter and the new everquest coming out next year.

I got into the neverwinter beta but my old computer died after the second day of playing it but it seemed nice, other than that I tried aion (loved it but what is it like now?), a DC one (didn't like it that much) and everquest 2 (loved it but couldn't really progress to far without paying for everything).

As for what I want in an mmo, I want the ability to go between co-op and solo without any major difficulties, re-playability, balanced classes, minimal grinding, stunning graphics, (I only plan to play about 1-2 hours a day at most, probably less if I have a dissertation to write up), in depth guild systems, wide variety of weapons (also balanced), finally I want to be able to progress without paying. I am willing to make a one off payment (not in the case of GW2 because you have to play for that already) but that is about it.

  • What is the first day at university like?

I know university doesn't start for a few months yet but I am already wondering what the first day at uni will be like, I won't be moving out and I will be going to the BPP university Birmingham but I am still curious as to what it will be like.

Will we have lessons on the first day?

    What should you do?

What would you need to take?

What should you talk about and what should you avoid talking about?

  • Loud popping noise after something was thrown at the window?

Hello, something was just thrown at the window, it isn't damaged and we can't see anything on the ground but it's dark so we might have missed something. What ever it was it was very loud because my ears are still hurting five minutes later.

I couldn't think what category this goes in so sorry if it is in the wrong one.

  • Why is my body temperature so high?

Ever since I was a kid (well I still am kinda at 17) I have always been warm, I could go out in the snow in jeans and t-shirt without feeling any discomfort, the car always steams up when I am in it but not when others are, my ice cream and ice-lollies are always the first to melt. I also love eating ice and I also seem to tolerate heat better than others, any idea what the reason for this is?

  • How do you get chilli of your hands?

I have washed my hands twice with carex hand wash and then fairy washing up liquid. I then rubbed my eye but then it started burning. I had cleared my eye with water and washed my hands a further three times since but will this have gotten it off?

The chilli was fairly hot but not over the top and I am asking before I need to go to the toilet for obvious reasons.

  • Do you think it is irresponsible to give kids too young for school tablets and smart phones?

I have just been watching "Tonight" and it seems parents are giving their kids the devices to keep them quite, it seems the technology is hindering their ability to develop social schemas.

I understand it can be used in an educational manner but it is being used as a babysitter more than it is as an educator.

  • Why is the cherub series so good?

Ok so I am 17 and I have been reading these books since I was 12 (not constantly) and I can't put my finger on what I like about them so much. I have read all but the latest book in the series and I can re read them near endlessly without them getting old.

    Also what is your opinion?

  • Do you think rehabilitation would be possible if case similar to Genie's was to happen?

I have covered her story in psychology today and watched an hour long documentary on her treatment, a prior case was mentioned regarding a boy called victor who was the subject of "the wild child". In both cases rehabilitation was unsuccessful for various reason but do you think it will be possible in modern society? Please give your reasons because I am curious as to your reasoning.

  • Would this laptop be suitable for gaming?

Ok so I was just looking at pcspecialist.com because a friend recommended it, I have done it with the following specs:

Chassis & display- Enigma IV: 15.6" Glossy HD LED Backlit Widescreen (1366x768)

Processor- Intel core i7 Dual Core Mobile Processor i7-3540M (3.00GHz) 4MB

    RAM- 8GB Samsung 1600MHz SODIMM DDR3 memory

Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce GT 650 M- 2.0GB DDR3 video RAM- DirectX 11

Hard disk- 500GB serial ATA II 2.5" hard drive with 8mb cache (5,400 rpm)

Disc drives- 8X SATA DVD+_R/RW/Dual layer (+24x CD -RW)

Memory card reader- Integrated 3 in 1 Memory card reader (SD, MMS, MS)

Thermal paste- ARCTIC MX-4 extreme thermal conductivity compound

Sound card- Creative sound blaster Omni surround 5.1 external

Wireless- GIGABIT LAN & KILLER 1202 wirless gaming 802.11N+ Bluetooth

    Windows 7 home premium

    Microsoft office 365 university

    Norton security

    Zalman ZM-NC3500 Ultra-quite laptop cooler

tech air 15.6" classic toploading case

    silver warranty

    1 year dead pixle

    1 month accidental damage

Well that is about it I tend to play (well used to when my laptop was powerful enough) mmorpg's such as aion and everquest 2.

I would also like it to last a while so it needs to stand the test of time power wise. It would cost £911 as a one off with VAT or £27.85 a month. If you have any other suggestions from the site please tell me. My limit would be £38 a month but I want to stay as close to the current figure as possible
