I have some small birds made out of styrofoam, sequins and feathers. I know that feathers do not last long, but wonder what would be the best way to store them. Should I use plastic or cardboard box? Should they be wrapped in paper or plastic? Just don't know where to start. I would like to keep them because they are so cute and looked great on the tree.

I can get to the BIOS, but not to the C:/ prompt. Do I have DOS? I have a Windows XP installation disk, but no boot disk, and it wants to install onto the D drive instead of the C drive, and has labeled the D drive as C and the D as 0. The BIOS shows the C as the master and the D as the slave (IDE jumpers set on select), but windows installation disk seems to have it backwards for installation purposes. I would like to see the directory of D to be sure I didn't remove the wrong drive and to be sure the Windows installation doesn't format the wrong drive. If no DOS, do you know of a work around or a site I can use?

I have an idea for an invention, but need some technical people to put it together. Where do I find them?

My dog may be left in the car occasionally and will need the a/c on. Will this a/c work with the engine off and run on the battery? Can the engine be on when no one is in the vehicle? Will it resort to battery and turn the engine off? Will the a/c keep running? Will it cool the car? I need detailed info from someone who has experience, not what was read or "should do". Thanks

I wear invisalign and have to brush my teeth each time I remove them to eat, before I replace them. I find I am brushing 5-7 times or more each day. I am concerned about the enamel and/or my gums being damaged by the wrong toothpaste. No need to tell me how to clean the invisalign, Thanks

I am looking for a large standard sized poodle statue custom painted to look like my dog. It needs to be at least 26" tall standing or sitting. Any one know a sculptor who can make one for me?

I had an eyebrow lift a month ago and still have no feeling or perspiration in my forehead above my eyebrows. If you had this procedure done, when did you start to get the feeling back? Did it get back to what it was before? How long did that take? Could you perspire on you forehead?

and where can I get them? The tensioner spring holds the glass shade on some ceiling fans. One of mine broke and I cannot find anyone making or selling just the tensioner. Hampton Bay puts them on some of their ceiling fans, but you must replace the entire light kit to get one tensioner. If the fan has been discontinued, you can't get it and you may not be able to find a similar light kit in the same finish. So far I have found the Redington III (I have, but discontinued) and the Lindhurst (not the same finish) Others have asked all over the web, but no answer so far. Hope you can help. Thanks

I want to replace the carpet in my truck. Of course the kits are preformed and cheaper than custom carpet. However, an installer told me they don't fit well and leave "air pockets". I guess that means they may be over-sized and they bubble instead of laying flat. If anyone has any experience with carpet kits, can you let me know?

There are no loose/missing bulbs and the fuses are fine. These are wired so that if one bulb goes out the others stay on. On one of the strings, the lights are clear, so there are black smudges on the inside of each of the bulbs. On the other string, the lights are colored so it's impossible to see inside the bulb. Each string is plugged individually directly into the socket (not a plug or socket problem). Both strings were working fine until they just gave it up. Any clues?

BTW It is NOT the fuses. I switched them with another working string and they lit it up fine. These strings still wouldn't light, even with the other strings' fuses. First thing I checked.

I want to make a horse lover an air brushed ceramic horse figurine for Christmas. However, I can't seem to get the colors right so that the horse doesn't look like a yellow banana. Starting with the lightest color first, what colors should be used to get the right tones for a golden palomino? Brand(s) and color(s) would be very helpful. Thanks.

These were used in my ceiling fan to hold on the glass shade (instead of the small screws) and one broke. The fan manufacturer does not use them anymore and can't tell me where to get them. Unless I can find one, I will have to throw out my beautiful ceiling fan, since they don't make replacement light fixtures for this fan either.

I need to replace my current system (Lennox), but I am getting conflicting information on what my current system is and what I should replace it with. Some say it is 2.5 tons and some say it is 3.5 tons. They also give various information as to what it should be replaced with. If I knew how to determine how many tons the current one is, I could eliminate those who either don't know or aren't being totally truthful.

RIght now the government is trying to stop women from obtaining safe, legal abortions. It is a right that my generation fought and died for. Do young women today care that they will lose this right and if so, what are they doing to keep it? This not a question about your belief in abortion, but how active young women are to keep the right to have one.

I have some Roman Shades in high windows and would like to convert them to raise and lower with a remote. Do you know of any conversion kit or tools available that will automate this type of window covering? Replacement shades run about $2000, so am hoping to convert the ones I have.

I need an extension cord for this plug because it won't reach from my Console to the TV, but don't know what kind of plug it is (I know what it looks like, but not what it's called) or where to get a cord with one on both ends.

Also, don't advise me to go wireless. Not an option for me.

I am upholstering a headboard using 1/4" plywood and 2" foam wrapped in polyester and covered with brocade. I want to purchase a pneumatic staple gun, but don't know what size staples I should be using. I am more interested in the staples than the brand of gun.
