I can't get GoSave or Browser Shop off Chrome.?
I removed GoSave through Tools>Extensions, then uninstalled the program. When I restarted, the ads still appeared, just as "Browser Shop" instead of GoSave. I looked in Extensions, and GoSave was STILL there. How can I get rid of it for sure?
5 AnswersSecurity7 years agoWhat am I missing before Code Geass R2?
The last thing I saw in season 1 was Lelouch and Suzaku about to shoot each other in ep 25.
Isn't there an episode 26? I couldn't find one but there's a huge gap in events from where I left off and how R2 starts. C.C. is leading the Order? Lelouch is running around Ashford Academy and his eye is normal? Villetta is at Ashford?
What the hell? I did miss an episode, right? Where can I find it?
6 AnswersComics & Animation8 years agoHow to enter this data in Excel?
I have a set of evaluations to put into Excel. They include demographics, location data, 1-5 ratings on several metrics, comments on strengths and weaknesses of the workshop, and additional comments. I need to be able to sort and cross-reference all these fields. How can I do that?
1 AnswerSoftware9 years agoWho was this early 20th century theologian?
I need the name of a theologian referred to in the book Saving Paradise: How Christianity Traded Love of This World for Crucifixion and Domination. The book quotes this theologian's concept of seven social sins which led to the sacrifice of Christ. I need his name but don't have my copy of the book.
1 AnswerHistory9 years agoHow to bind off with holes?
My usual cast-on is a modified cable cast-on which creates holes similar to those created by yarnover. I put both needles through the slipknot, cross them to make a figure-eight in the yarn, *insert the needle that will carry the cast-on through the front of the loop on the other (working) needle, wrap the yarn around the working needle and pull it through like a knit stitch. Then I repeat from * to make my cast-on row.
It's a pretty lacey cast-on and I don't know of a bind off to match it.

In which episode is Alton's recipe for spring salad with dandelion greens and hard-boiled eggs? I remember he was riding in a horsedrawn carriage and talking about a traditional Pennsylvania Dutch salad.
3 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoKnitting: How to protect my fingers or reduce yarn drag?
I'm working on a project with a soft acrylic (Lion Brand) on size 3 needles. The yarn is dragging on my needles so that it's diffiicult to slide the needles. I've been pushing on the tip of my working needle with the thumb and forefinger of the opposite hand, but it's become painful to do so. I've tried moving the stitches onto needles of bamboo or plastic. Both dragged worse than my metal needles.
I need to complete this project quickly, so I don't have time to let my fingertips recover after each time I work. So I need either a way to reduce the grip the yarn has on my needles or a means to protect my fingertips that doesn't reduce my dexterity too much. Suggestions?
2 AnswersHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoResume: Listing an employer with no contact information?
There's a job in my history that would look very good on my resume but the company no longer exists, the owner has moved and is unlisted. I can't get new contact information for him. How should I treat that job on my resume? Does it matter if a potential employer can't verify that I held the position, even if it's very relevant to the job I'm applying for?
3 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoWhat MUDs can I play without needing a macro system?
The major MUDs I know of (such as the Iron Realms games) require user-written systems that stand in for slow reflexes, systems that allow actions to to be effected faster than the commands can be typed. But I no longer have my own computer on which I can store and use those programs.
So, I'm looking for a fantasy MUD that can be successfully played without them. And... I'm hoping there is one available with an adult playerbase. Not R-rated, exactly, but not a MUD version of children's books.
1 AnswerVideo & Online Games1 decade agoWhat does "asabuko" mean in Japanese?
In Final Fantasye VII: Advent Children, one of the characters says "asabuko" and the subtitles translate it as "let's play". But I don't know the kanji for this word, so free online translators only produce a romanization when I put the word through them. And they translate "play" to "saisei". What is the correct translation of "asabuko" and what is the kanji for it?
P.S. A Google search of just "asabuko" brought up a movie quote in which someone is describing the preparation of "osso bucco" and misspelled it. That definitely is not what I'm trying to sort out.
2 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoMy ears won't pressurize correctly?
For about two weeks, my ears have been unable to maintain normal pressure. To my knowledge, there are two possible reasons:
1) I've always been extra sensitive to altitude and I recently took a trip to a lake several hundred feet higher than my hometown.
2) When my standard iPod earphones inexplicably stopped working, I borrowed a friend's Skullcandy earphones. While using them, the pressure (or lack of) in my ears is even more noticeable. But I'm not sure if they are the cause or if they are irritating a pre-existing condition.
Because of this issue, I've been having trouble with my hearing. Today, my grandfather came to my house and tried for twenty minutes to get my attention by knocking then pounding on the door and calling for me loudly. I didn't hear him at all. My hearing is normally not very good, so the pressurization problem has become a serious one.
1 AnswerOther - Health1 decade agoAllergic to my own sweat. Help!?
When I sweat, I get intense hives, but only it certain places and certain situations. My feet are the worst. Eight hours in any shoes produce an irritation that lasts for hours. Shirts that don't breathe well keep the sweat against my skin so that my armpits and ribs become irritated. I work at a call center and my headset causes me to sweat behind my ears, so that my pores in that area become infected and itchy.
I do the best I can to deal with this. I shower immediately after any strenuous activity (yes, emphasis on the any). I've tried putting gauze over the tops of my feet when I need to have my shoes on for long periods, but that kind of backfired. And I only wear loosely-woven shirts like polos, never suits.
But still, every day, it's cortizone for my feet and ears and always having to find a way to wash on-site if I go hiking or bike-riding. I'm getting annoyed about it. There isn't really a treatment, so I'm just looking for thoughts on how I might be able to reduce the irritation or go about my activities a little more normally.
3 AnswersSkin Conditions1 decade agoWhat can I do to fix my Mac's disc drive?
My MacBook Pro is three years old, but it was repaired at the Apple Depot last December. One of the issues I was having before then was that my disc drive would not accept discs or, if it did, would not release them. I thought this was due to damage my computer had taken on that corner a few months after I bought it. I pointed out this problem went I sent my computer for repair.
When the computer came back from the Apple Depot, the disc drive worked perfectly. And continued to work well for a few months. About a month ago, though, it suddenly started rejecting discs again and now the drive won't run at all. Because the hardware was replaced, I'm wondering if there's a software issue. I can't afford a service call to Apple, though.
Anyone have an idea of what's causing this problem?

6 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoDifficult sushi etiquette?
I have a digestive disorder which makes me unable to digest fruits and vegetables. But I love sushi and sashimi. Etiquette at a great sushi bar is to let the chef offer his choices, allowing him to present his food to you in a manner he feels is best. How can I request only what I can eat without offending the chef? That is, how can I fit my embarrassing request into the formal etiquette, how can I bring it up politely?
1 AnswerEtiquette1 decade agoHow to deal with a small child who steals?
My nephew has been diagnosed with ADD for about two years. He's begun stealing. I have a small reward system for him and his sister when they do their homework with no trouble, he's stolen from that. He steals from his parents' room. He steals from other kids and his teacher at school. Right now, my brother has made him pack all his toys in garbage bags to be thrown away, and that's after a half-hour of yelling at him.
As a kid, I was also diagnosed with ADD at a very young age. And I stole for many years. My parents tried everything my brother and his wife are trying. Looking back, I'm much more sympathetic to my parents who didn't have enough information and yielded to the idea that prescribed amphetamines like Ritalin were a cure-all. I understand the anger, the self-doubt and the frustration they went through. I grew up in a home where I couldn't be allowed any freedom, always being punished. I don't want my nephew and niece to grow up like I did. I think it makes the behaviors worse and is much, much harder on the child's future.
As the kids' caretaker, I want my influence on this household to make life more interesting and help the people in this family trust each other as me and my family do not. But behaviors like my nephew's stealing drag me into the anger that's always present here and I don't know how to deal with it.
How can I get my nephew to overcome the stealing without resorting to the screaming and punishments that don't work?
6 AnswersGrade-Schooler1 decade agoI'm trying to distribute my food intake throughout the day, but...?
To reiterate a question I asked a few days ago, I'm trying to eat more to improve my metabolism for my diet and exercise program. I have been trying to eat more small meals throughout the day. But I'm starting to feel sick. I eat little things like a quarter of a sandwich, a piece of toast, a yogurt, etc. And I'm getting a strange feeling from it.
My chest all the time feels as tight as if I'd stuffed myself to point of having breathing problems. I don't have good lungs to begin with, though. My stomach feels full with very little food in it, but growls and has the hollow feeling of not eating enough within minutes after I've eaten. I feel shaky and cold, not serious, but noticeable. And it is getting harder to breathe.
I don't know what is going on! I should note that I can't digest fruits and vegetables. Highly processed plant matter like flour or juice and plants that are exceptionally tender without processing such as wheat sprouts, these I can eat, so I've cut a quarter of my water intake with 100% juices and used breads with softened whole wheat or oats in my sandwiches. I thought it would help, but it doesn't seem to be enough. But if I just can't eat lighter foods, what else can I do? Am I even right in thinking that's what's making me feel sick?
4 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoI don't know how to say this to my girlfriend...?
I will be starting the process of a sex change soon. I have a long-distance girlfriend who I love very much, but I'm uncomfortable telling her about this, so I haven't spoken with her for a long time. I know through mutual friends that she's waiting to hear from me.
The thing is, I'm nervous about talking to her because she is extremely forgiving. I wouldn't prefer rejection or rage from her, but I would rather have her be brutally critical than to simply let it be as she does with most things. I don't think it'd bother her to be with a guy instead of a woman, either. The idea that she might disregard something that's important to me makes me feel that it should be shameful, more than my parents shame me with their refusal to discuss it.
I don't know what to do. I miss her. I want to be able to talk to her about this and get a response that draws her out of herself.
2 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships1 decade agoI should eat more, but I hate the feeling of fullness. What can I do?
I'm trying to lose weight, but I normally eat only two meals a day, if that. I need to eat more while on my exercise program in order to improve my metabolism. But I can't stand feeling full. The weight of food in my stomach makes me feel lethargic, which makes my already intense workout even harder. I don't know how to get over this.

This installment of the series begins with a voice administering the usual personality quiz at a waterfall. I think it was originally on SNES, then later ported to the Game Boy Color.
